For there is only one God and likewise only one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
Now the Spirit speaks expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, listening to spirits of error and doctrines of demons;
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men,
The Word is faithful, If anyone desires the office of a bishop, , he desires a difficult ministry.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the faithful in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
But if I tarry long, that thou may know how it is expedient to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the congregation of the living God, the pillar and base of the truth.
(for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the congregation of God?)
For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
In like manner also that the women adorn themselves in an honest manner, with shyness and modesty, not with ostentatious hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing
For the love of money is the root of all evil, which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
This is a faithful saying and worthy of acceptation by all, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am first.

But if any provide not for his own and specially for those of his own house, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Let the elders that govern well be counted worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in the word and doctrine.
Charge those that are rich in this world, that they not be highminded, not placing their hope in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;
Even as I besought thee to remain at Ephesus when I went into Macedonia, that thou might charge some that they not teach diverse doctrine,
I desire, therefore, that the men in every place, pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and strife.
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has enabled me, for he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,
desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor from where they affirm.
If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ and to the doctrine which is according to godliness,
according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
Likewise the deacons must be honest, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of dishonest gain;
that thou keep the commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who was before a blasphemer and a persecutor and injurious, but I was received unto mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, turn away from profane voices and vain things and arguments in the vain name of science,
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, unto which thou art also called, having made a good profession before many witnesses.
For those that desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
Moreover he must have a good report of those who are outside lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
But for this cause I was received unto mercy that in me first, Jesus Christ might show forth all clemency, for an example to those who should hereafter believe in him for eternal life.
The wives likewise are to be honest, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.

And let these also first be proved; then let them minister, if they are blameless.
Let the deacons be the husbands of only one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
But the younger widows refuse, for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they desire to marry,
but charge them to do good, that they be rich in good works, liberal to distribute, willing to communicate,
And reject also the idle, who have learned to wander about from house to house, and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.
For those that minister well purchase to themselves a good degree and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
And those that have faithful masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren, but rather serve them better, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. Teach and exhort this.
I desire therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, govern the house, giving no occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
not given to wine, not hurtful, not greedy of dishonest gain, but gentle, not contentious, not covetous;
If any faithful man or woman has widows, let them maintain them and let not the congregation be charged, that it may relieve those that are widows indeed.
he is puffed up, knowing nothing, but is driven mad concerning questions and controversy of words, of which comes envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
Lay hands suddenly on no one, neither be partaker of the sins of others; keep thyself pure.
I charge thee before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.
Now she that is a widow indeed and desolate, trusts in God, and is diligent in supplications and prayers night and day,
But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let those learn first to govern their house in piety and to recompense their parents, for this is honest and pleasing before God.
of which I am ordained a preacher and an apostle (I speak the truth in Christ and do not lie), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
Some men's sins are manifest beforehand, before they come unto judgment, but to others they follow after.
Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand, and those that are otherwise cannot be hid.
that in hypocrisy shall speak lies; having their conscience seared as with a hot iron;
Occupy thyself in these things with care, for in this is everything, that thy profiting may be manifest unto all.

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart and of a good conscience and of faith unfeigned:
Take heed unto thyself and unto the doctrine; be diligent in this, for in doing so thou shalt both save thyself and those that hear thee.
Let all that are under the yoke of slavery count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine not be blasphemed.
But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly sinners, for the evil and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which is given unto thee to prophesy, through the laying on of the hands of the elders.
for fornicators, for homosexuals, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,
who in his time shall show the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
For this we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God, our Saviour and the Lord Jesus Christ, our hope,
For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.
the only one who has immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto, whom no man has seen nor can see, to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
