Say, This is what the Lord has said: Will it do well? will he not have its roots pulled up and its branches cut off, so that all its young leaves may become dry and it may be pulled up by its roots?

And if it is planted will it do well? will it not become quite dry at the touch of the east wind, drying up in the bed where it was planted?

But he went against his authority in sending representatives to Egypt to get from them horses and a great army. Will he do well? will he be safe who does such things? if the agreement is broken will he be safe?

Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because of your causing your iniquity to be remembered, In your transgressions being revealed, For your sins being seen, in all your doings, Because of your being remembered, By the hand ye are caught.

The one who is far [away] will die by the plague, and the one who is near will fall by the sword, and the one who is being left behind and being spared will die by the famine, and I will complete my rage on them.

And it came to pass, in the sixth year in the sixth month, on the fifth of the month, I being seated in my house, and the elders of Judah being seated before me, then fell upon me there the hand of My Lord Yahweh.

And as for thy birth in the day thou wast born, Thy navel-cord was not cut, And in water, wast thou not bathed to cleanse thee, - And as for being salted, a thou was not salted, And as for being bandaged, thou wast not bandaged.

"That's how I'll make you stop your prostitution so you won't pay any prostitute's fees anymore. I'll stop being angry with you, and I'll cease being jealous. I'll be calm and not be indignant anymore.

"Son of Man, prophesy and say, "This is what the Lord GOD says: "A sword! A sword is being sharpened. It's also being polished.

It's being sharpened for slaughter, and being polished to gleam like lightning.' "We shouldn't be rejoicing, should we, while my Son's scepter, the sword, is despising every tree?

And I have caused some to remain, In their being to you the escaped of the sword among nations, In your being scattered through lands.

Those being near and those being far off from thee will scoff at thee; thou wert defiled of name and much in consternation.

And they were desolate in the midst of the lands being desolated, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities being laid waste.

According to the seeking of the shepherd of his flock in the day of his being in the midst of his sheep being scattered.; so will I search out my sheep and deliver them from all places where they were scattered there in the day of cloud and darkness.

And I consecrated my great name, being profaned among the nations which ye profaned, in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am Jehovah, says the Lord Jehovah, in my being consecrated among you before your eyes.

And they said: This land being desolate was as the garden of Eden: and the cities laid waste and desolated and destroyed, being fortified, were inhabited.

To spoil a spoil and to plunder a plunder; to turn back thy hand upon the wastes being inhabited, and upon the people being gathered out of the nations making cattle and substance, dwelling upon the summit of the land.

And being made upon them upon the doors of the temple, cherubs and palm trees, according to those being upon the walls; and thick wood upon the face of the porch from without

As I observed the living beings, I noticed one wheel on the earth beside each being that is, for the four of them.

When the living beings moved, the wheels moved, and when they stopped moving, the wheels stopped. When they rose up from the ground, the wheels rose up from the ground; the wheels rose up beside them because the spirit of the living being was in the wheel.

Then I came to the exiles at Tel-at-abib, who lived by the river Chebar. And I sat where they sat; and I also dwelt seven days, being stricken dumb among them.

And a voice of a multitude being at ease was with her: and with the men of the common sort were brought Sabeans from the wilderness, who put bracelets upon their wrists, and beautiful crowns upon their heads.

Then he said unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters of the sea shall be healed.

Moreover apart from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city, being in the midst of that which is the prince's, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for the prince.

You have whored with the Assyrians, without your being satisfied; yea, you whored and yet you were not satisfied.

Son of man, say to her: You are a land not being cleansed, nor rained on in the day of disgust.

And the waste land shall be tilled, instead of being a ruin before all passing by.

And He said to me, Son of man, so says the Lord Jehovah: These are the statutes of the altar in the day of its being made to offer on it burnt offerings, and to sprinkle blood on it.

In the four corners of the court were enclosed courts, forty cubits long and thirty wide, one measure to the four of them, being made in corners.

The merchants among the peoples hiss at thee. Thou have become a horror, and thou shall nevermore have any being.

"But I acted for the sake of my name {to keep it from being profaned} before the eyes of the nations {among whom they lived}, where I made known to them before their eyes, to bring them out from the land of Egypt.

Thus says the Lord Yahweh to Tyre, "Will not the coastlands shake from the sound of your downfall, at [the] groaning of the wounded, {at people being killed} in the midst of you?

There are [also] the princes of [the] north, all of them, all of [the] Sidonians who have gone down, being ashamed [to lie] with [the] slain because of their terror [that they caused] from their might, and they lie uncircumcised with [those killed] by [the] sword, and they bear their disgrace [along with] [the people] going down to [the] grave.

And when you allocate the land as an inheritance, you shall provide a contribution for Yahweh [as] a holy portion from the land, [its] length [being] twenty-five thousand [cubits] and [its] width ten thousand [cubits]; it [is] holy in all its territory, all around.

And they shall burn thy houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women; and I will cause thee to cease from being a harlot, and thou also shalt give no more any reward.

To the priests, the [ones] being consecrated from the descendants of Zadok, who took care of my service [and] who {did not go astray} {when the Israelites went astray}, {just as} the Levites went astray.

I will make thee a horror, and thou shall no more have any being. Though thou be sought for, yet thou shall never be found again, says lord LORD.

All those who know thee among the peoples shall be astonished at thee. Thou have become a horror, and thou shall nevermore have any being.
