And it happened at that time that Jesus went from Nazareth, in Galilee [i.e., south to Judea], where He was immersed by John in the Jordan River.

where he continued forty days, being tempted by Satan: and when he was among the wild beasts, angels ministred unto him.

where Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, who presently acquainted Jesus with it.

On the morrow rising up, while it was yet dark, he went out, and retired into a solitary place, where he prayed.

but as soon as he was gone, he began freely to talk of it, and blazed it about every where, so that Jesus could not go publickly into the city any more, but stay'd in the out parts, which were not much frequented, where people came to him from every quarter.

After Jesus returned to Capernaum several days later, it became known that He was [back] at home [i.e., possibly at the house of Peter and Andrew, where He was staying. See 1:29].

and because they could not come nigh unto him for press, they uncovered the roof of the house where he was. And when they had broken it open, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

And when he went by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, seated at the place where taxes were taken, and he said to him, Come with me. And he got up, and went with him.

Again he went into a synagogue where there was a man with his hand withered.

But Jesus retired with his disciples towards the sea: where a great multitude followed him from Galilee, from Judea,

He began again to teach by the sea-side: but there was so great a crowd gathered about him, that he was oblig'd to go into a ship, where he sat down, and stay'd on board while the people stood on the shore.

Some fell on a stony ground: where it had not much earth: and by and by sprang up, because it had not depth of earth:

"What the Sower sows is the Word. There are those 'on the wayside' where the Word is sown.

And they that are by the wayside, where the word is sown, are they to whom as soon as they have heard it, cometh immediately Satan and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

"Do people get out the lamp," he said to them, "and then put it under the peck-measure, or under the bed, instead of putting it up where it belongs?

For it is not hidden, save that it may be made visible; neither did it get hidden away, but that it might come into a place where it could be seen.

and as soon as Jesus was come out of the ship, he met a demoniack, who came from among the tombs, where he haunted,

They came to the house of the synagogue ruler where he saw noisy confusion and people weeping and wailing loudly.

And they laughed him to scorn. Then he put them all out, and took the father and the mother of the maiden, and them that were with him, and entered in where the maiden lay;

And [when] the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard [him] were amazed, saying, "Where did this man [get] these [things]? And what [is] this wisdom that has been granted to this man, and the miracles such as these performed through his hands?

And he said to them, "Where you enter a house, stay there until you leave that place.

So, they [i.e., Jesus and His apostles] left by boat and went to a separate place [where they could be] alone.

but the people saw them embark, and many perceiving where they were bound, they ran thither a foot from all parts: and arrived at the place, before the passengers were come.

Being got to the other side of the lake, they came to the country of Gennasereth, where they landed.

and ran forth throughout all the region round about, and began to carry about in beds all that were sick, to place where they heard tell that he was there.

accordingly she went home, where she found that the demon was indeed gone out of her daughter, and she was lying on the bed.

And his disciples answered him, "Where should a man have bread here in the wilderness to satisfy these?"

Then they came to Bethsaida, where some people brought a blind man to Jesus, and begged him to touch him.

so he was brought to him, and as soon as he saw him, the spirit threw him into convulsions, and he fell upon the ground, where he wallowed foaming.

At length, he arrived at Capernaum, where being in his own house, he asked his disciples, what were you disputing about by the way?

where their worm dieth not, and the fire never goeth out.

And if thy foot offend thee, cut it off: it is good for thee to enter halt into life, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.

and if your eye make you transgress, pull it out; it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God, with but one eye, than to have two, and be thrown into the Gehenna of fire: where the worm does not die,

Jesus departed from thence, and went towards the confines of Judea, thro' the country beyond Jordan: where the people resorting to him again, he renewed his instructions to them as usual.

now, said he, we are going to Jerusalem, where the son of man will be delivered up to the chief priests, and to the Scribes, who will condemn him to die, and deliver him to the Gentiles.

And they went their way, and found a colt tied by the door without, in a place where two ways met, and they loosed him.

So, they answered Jesus and said, "We do not know [where John got his authority to immerse]." Jesus replied to them, " [Then] neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things [i.e., miracles and teaching]."

Jesus said to them, "Is this not where you go wrong? ??you understand neither the scriptures nor the power of God.

And he took a seat by the place where the money was kept, and saw how the people put money into the boxes: and a number who had wealth put in much.

So you must be on the lookout for yourselves; they will turn you over to courts, and to synagogues where you will be beaten, and you must appear before governors and kings for my sake, to testify to them.

But when you see that detestable thing that makes desolate, which is spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that reads understand,) then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains;

Also the person who is on a housetop [Note: This was a flat area where people retired for rest, prayer, etc., with its stairway on the outside] should not go down into his house to take anything out [when he flees].

And on the first day of unleavened bread, when they sacrificed the passover, his disciples say unto him, Where wilt thou that we go and make ready that thou mayest eat the passover?

and wheresoever he shall enter in, say to the master of the house, The Teacher saith, Where is my guest-chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?

He said to them, "My soul is extremely grieved, even to the point where I could die. Stay here and be alert [i.e., in prayer]."

Jesus they led away to the high priest's, where all the chief priests, the rulers and Scribes, were assembled.

Peter followed him at a distance till he got inside the courtyard of the high priest, where he sat down with the attendants to warm himself at the fire.

In the mean time Peter was in the entry of the hall, where one of the maids belonging to the high priest came:

Then the soldiers led Jesus away to the courtyard of the governor's headquarters, where they assembled the entire battalion.

And Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of Joses, saw where he was put.

And very early after dawn on the first day of the week, they came at the time of the coming up of the sun to the place where the body had been put.

And he said to them, Do not be troubled: you are looking for Jesus, the Nazarene, who has been put to death on the cross; he has come back from the dead; he is not here: see, the place where they put him!

But go, tell his disciples and Peter, "'He is going before you into Galilee, where you will see him, as he told you.'"

Now after the Lord had convers'd with them, he was assum'd up to heaven, where he sat on the right hand of God.

and they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs which followed it.]
