This I say, therefore, and appeal to you solemnly in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the other Gentiles walk, in the error of their minds,

And you, who were formerly alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now has he reconciled

To the pure, all things are pure: but to the denied and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but their mind and their conscience are denied.

For those who are according to the flesh, mind the things of the flesh; but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace. Because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can it be.

darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart;

For from the heart come evil reasonings, murders, adulteries, lewd actions, thefts, false testimonies, impious words.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were excited by the law, were active in our members, so as to bring forth fruit to death:

Therefore, as, by one offense, sentence came on all men to condemnation, so, also, by one act of righteousness, the gift has come on all men to justification of life.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal "life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

As the earthy man was, such also are the earthy; and as the heavenly man is, such also shall the heavenly be. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
