Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Behold the birds of the air; for they sow not, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns. Yet your heavenly Father feeds them; are you not much better than they are? Which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his stature? read more.
And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They do not toil, nor do they spin, but I say to you that even Solomon in his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Therefore if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much rather clothe you, little-faiths?

Do not speak in the ears of a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words.

But to the wicked, God says, What is it to you, to declare My Precepts, and to take up My covenant in your mouth? Yea, you hate to be taught, and you toss My Words behind you.

For his God instructs him to do right; his God teaches him.

O God, You have taught me from my youth; and before now I have declared Your wonderful works.

For so Jehovah spoke to me with a strong hand, and warned me against walking in the way of this people, saying,

But the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true and no lie, and as He has taught you, abide in Him.

But regarding brotherly love, you do not need that I write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.

You also gave Your good Spirit to teach them, and did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst.

Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as Jehovah my God commanded me, so that you should do so in the land where you go to possess it.

Hear advice, and receive instruction, so that you may be wise in your latter end.

And now listen to me, O sons; for blessed are those who keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and do not refuse it.

Apply your heart to instruction and your ears to the words of knowledge.

It is written in the Prophets, "And they shall all be taught of God." Therefore everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to Me.

But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God.

One rebuking a scorner gets shame to himself; and one rebuking a wicked one gets himself a blemish. Do not reprove a scorner, lest he hate you; give to a wise man, and he will love you. Give to a wise one, and he will be still wiser; teach a just one, and he will increase in learning. read more.
The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

When the scorner is punished, the simple is made wise; and when the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.

He who refuses instruction despises his own soul, but he who hears reproof gets understanding.

Poverty and shame shall be to him who refuses instruction, but he who listens to correction shall be honored.

For they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out and you should perish. But the nations who bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those I will leave on their own land, says Jehovah. And they shall work it and dwell in it.

And they have turned the back to Me, and not the face; though I taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet they have not listened to receive instruction.

My son, cease to hear the discipline, only to stray from the words of knowledge.

He who keeps instruction is in the way of life; but he who refuses reproof goes astray.

Understanding is a fountain of life to him who has it, but the instruction of fools is folly.

A wise son heeds his father's instruction, but a scorner does not hear rebuke.

Son of man, eat your bread with quaking and drink your water with trembling and anxiety. And say to the people of the land: So says the Lord Jehovah of the people of Jerusalem and of the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with anxiety and drink their water with horror, so that her land may be desolated of her fullness, because of the violence of all those who dwell in it. And the cities that have people shall be laid waste, and the land shall be desolate. And you shall know that I am Jehovah.

And you, son of man, take a stick and write on it, For Judah and for his companions, the sons of Israel. And I will scatter to every wind all who are around him to help him, and all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them. And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall scatter them among the nations and scatter them in the countries. But I will leave a few men of them from the sword, from the famine, and from the plague, so that they may declare all their abominations among the nations where they come. And they shall know that I am Jehovah.

So says Jehovah, Go and get a potter's earthen jar, and assemble from the elders of the people and of the elders of the priests. And go out to the valley of the son of Hinnom by the entry of Potsherd Gate. And there declare the words that I shall tell you. And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their sons and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall each one eat the flesh of his friend in the siege and distress, with which their enemies and those who seek their lives shall distress them. Then you shall break the jar before the eyes of the men who go with you, and shall say to them, So says Jehovah of Hosts, Even so I will break this people of this city, as one breaks a potter's vessel that cannot be made whole again. And they shall bury them in Tophet until there is no place left to bury. I will do this to this place, says Jehovah, and to its people, and make this city as Tophet.

So says Jehovah to me, Go and buy for yourself a linen girdle, and put it on your loins, and do not put it in water. So I bought a girdle according to the Word of Jehovah, and put it on my loins. And the Word of Jehovah came to me a second time, saying, read more.
Take the girdle that you bought, which is on your loins, and arise. Go to Euphrates, and hide it there in a hole of the rock. So I went and hid it by Euphrates, as Jehovah commanded me. And it happened at the end of many days Jehovah said to me, Arise, go to Euphrates and take the girdle from there, which I commanded you to hide there. Then I went to Euphrates and dug, and took the girdle from the place where I had hidden it. And, behold, the girdle was rotted; it was not good for anything. This evil people, who refuse to hear My Words, who walk in the stubbornness of their heart and walk after other gods to serve them and to worship them, shall even be like this girdle, which is good for nothing. For as the girdle holds fast to the loins of a man, so I have caused the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah to cling to Me, says Jehovah; so that they might be to Me for a people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory; but they would not hear.

Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth of the month, the Word of Jehovah came to me, saying, Son of man, write for yourself the name of the day, even of this same day. She has wearied herself with lies, and her great scum did not go out from her. Her scum shall be in the fire. In your defilement is wickedness. Because I have purged you and you were not purged, you shall not be purged from your defilement any more, until I have caused My fury to cease on you. I Jehovah have spoken. You shall answer, Because of the news that it is coming; and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water. Behold, it comes, and it shall be, says the Lord Jehovah.

Also lie on your left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; according to the number of days that you shall lie on it, you shall bear their iniquity. For I have laid on you the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days. So you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
