Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light for my pathway.

Why do the wicked despise God and say to themselves, "God will not seek justice."?

They say to themselves, "We will not be moved throughout all time, and we will not experience adversity."
Their ways always seem prosperous. Your judgments are on high, far away from them. They scoff at all their enemies.
And my soul is deeply distressed. But you, LORD, how long do I wait?
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD; all the families of the nations will bow in submission to the LORD.

They wait in ambush in the villages, they kill the innocent in secret.
