And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are who have believed, and they are all zealous of the law; and they are informed of thee that thou teachest all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs. What is it therefore? The multitude must needs come together, for they will hear that thou art come.read more.
Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men among us who have a vow on them; them take, and purify thyself with them, and pay their expenses, that they may shave their heads, and all may know that those things, of which they were informed concerning thee, are nothing, but that thou thyself dost also walk orderly and keep the law. Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for what fellowship does righteousness have with unrighteousness? and what communion does light have with darkness? And what concord does Christ have with Belial? or what part do the faithful have with the unfaithful?
So that ye have become examples to all that have believed in Macedonia and Achaia.
If any faithful man or woman has widows, let them maintain them and let not the congregation be charged, that it may relieve those that are widows indeed.
Therefore as long as we have the opportunity, let us do good unto everyone, especially unto those who are of the household of faith.
And those that have faithful masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren, but rather serve them better, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. Teach and exhort this.
Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
