Can the papyrus plant grow tall where there is no marsh? Can reeds flourish without water?

The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; if not, where, and who is he?

wherein the proud and high minded walk not, and where no lion cometh.

And the wisdom -- whence is it found? And where is this, the place of understanding?

Where is this -- the way light dwelleth? And darkness, where is this -- its place?

"Have you entered the storehouses of the snow or seen where the hail is stored,

Where is this, the way light is apportioned? It scattereth an east wind over the earth.

To cause it to rain on the earth, where no one is; on the wilderness wherein there is not a man;

To give water to the land where there is waste and destruction, and to make the dry land green with young grass?

He dwells on the crags where he makes his home, there on the rocky crag is his stronghold.

And his brood gulp up blood, And where the pierced are -- there is he!

stared down and subdued every proud person, trampled the wicked right where they are,

Mountains produce food for him, where all the wild animals frolic.
