Many there are who say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

I cry to LORD with my voice, and he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah.

Salvation belongs to LORD. Thy blessing be upon thy people. Selah.

O ye sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? Will ye love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah.

Stand in awe, and sin not. Commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.

For thou will bless the righteous man, O LORD. Thou will encompass him with favor as with a shield. Selah.

My soul also is greatly troubled. And thou, O LORD, how long?

Return, O LORD, deliver my soul. Save me for thy loving kindness' sake.

lest they tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.

let the enemy pursue my soul, and overtake it. Yea, let him tread my life down to the earth, and lay my glory in the dust. Selah.

Arise, O LORD, confront him. Cast him down. Deliver my soul from the wicked by thy sword,

The law of LORD is perfect, restoring the soul. The testimony of LORD is sure, making a simple man wise.

remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt-sacrifice (Selah),

Thou have given him his heart's desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.

Thou will make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger. LORD will swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

Deliver my soul from the sword, the only one of me from the power of the dog.

All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him, even he who cannot keep his soul alive.

He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

He who has clean hands, and a pure heart, who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood, and has not sworn deceitfully.

This is the generation of those who seek after him, who seek thy face, [even] Jacob. Selah.

Our soul has waited for LORD. He is our help and our shield.

My soul waits in silence for God only. From him [is] my salvation.

They only consult to thrust him down from his dignity. They delight in lies. They bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.
