But when she was no longer able to hide him, she took a papyrus basket for him and sealed it with bitumen and pitch. She put the child in it and set it among the reeds along the edge of the Nile.

So the Lord let him alone. (At that time she said, "A bridegroom of blood," referring to the circumcision.)

On the first day there will be a holy convocation, and on the seventh day there will be a holy convocation for you. You must do no work of any kind on them, only what every person will eat -- that alone may be prepared for you.

Pharaoh got up in the night, along with all his servants and all Egypt, and there was a great cry in Egypt, for there was no house in which there was not someone dead.

Isn't this what we told you in Egypt, 'Leave us alone so that we can serve the Egyptians, because it is better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!'"

"Whoever sacrifices to a god other than the Lord alone must be utterly destroyed.

But in the seventh year you must let it lie fallow and leave it alone so that the poor of your people may eat, and what they leave any animal in the field may eat; you must do likewise with your vineyard and your olive grove.

Moses alone may come near the Lord, but the others must not come near, nor may the people go up with him."

You are to make loops of blue material along the edge of the end curtain in one set, and in the same way you are to make loops in the outer edge of the end curtain in the second set.

You are to make fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in one set and fifty loops along the edge of the curtain that joins the second set.

You are to put them in one basket and present them in the basket, along with the bull and the two rams.

You are to take some of the blood that is on the altar and some of the anointing oil and sprinkle it on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on his sons' garments with him, so that he may be holy, he and his garments along with his sons and his sons' garments.

So now, leave me alone so that my anger can burn against them and I can destroy them, and I will make from you a great nation."

He made loops of blue material along the edge of the end curtain in the first set; he did the same along the edge of the end curtain in the second set.

He made fifty loops along the edge of the end curtain in the first set and fifty loops along the edge of the curtain that joined the second set.
