These twelve, Jesus sent forth, charging them, saying: - Into any way to the nations, do not depart, - and, into any city of Samaritans, do not enter;
rather make your way to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
But beware of men: for they will deliver you to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues.
Therefore, every person who acknowledges me in front of people [i.e., to be their Lord and Christ], I will acknowledge him [i.e., to be my disciple] in front of my Father in heaven.
The person who loves his father and mother more than me does not deserve me [i.e., to be my disciple]. And the person who loves his son or daughter more than me does not deserve me [i.e., to be my disciple].
and said to him, Art thou the coming one? or are we to wait for another?

And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went away to them, walking upon the sea,
He said, "Come." Then Peter got out of the boat and walked over the water on his way to Jesus;
And when they had [finally] crossed over [i.e., to the west side of the lake], they landed at the region of Gennesaret.
And departing from there, Jesus went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon.
But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
The disciples said to Him, “Where are we to get enough bread in this isolated place to feed so large a crowd?”
Now the disciples came to the other side [i.e., to the east side of the lake], but had forgotten to bring food [with them].
How is it that you do not understand, that I did not speak of bread when I commanded you to beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?
From that time Jesus began to shew to his disciples that he must go away to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised.
Jesus answered them, "Elijah truly was to come, and restore all things [i.e., to their proper perspective concerning the Messiah].
And Jesus answered,
He answered them, "[It was] because you had such little faith. For truly I tell you, if you have faith as [small as] a mustard tree seed, you could say to this mountain, 'Move from here to that place over there' and it would move. however, lest we should give offence, go you to the sea, throw in a book, and take the first fish that strikes: then open its jaws, and you will find a piece of money: that take, and give it to them for me and thee.
Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
And if he refuses to listen to them [i.e., the witnesses], explain the [whole] matter to the church [i.e., probably a specially called meeting of mature Christians to resolve the matter]. Was it not right for you to have mercy on the other servant, even as I had mercy on you?
Then they asked Him, "Why did Moses command us to give a written divorce charge, and in this way to divorce a wife?"
He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
Then some little children were brought to Jesus so he could pray and place His hands on them [i.e., to bestow a blessing on them]. But His disciples spoke harshly to the people [for doing this].
So, He placed His hands on them [i.e., to bestow a blessing] and [then] left that place.
And one came to him and said, Master, what good thing have I to do, so that I may have eternal life?
Then Peter replied, "Well, we have left our all and followed you. Now what are we to get?"
And every person who has left his house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or children or property, for my name's sake [i.e., to become a servant of the Lord], will receive [back] a hundred times as much [in this life] and will [also] inherit never ending life.
and to these he said, Go ye -- also ye -- to the vineyard, and whatever may be righteous I will give you;
Have I not the right to do what I please with my own money? Or, is your eye causing you to be covetous, because I am generous?
As Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples in private, and said to them,
"What is it that you want?" he asked. "I want you to say," she replied, "that in your Kingdom these two sons of mine may sit, one on your right, and the other on your left."
but not so shall it be among you, but whoever may will among you to become great, let him be your ministrant;
and whoever may will among you to be first, let him be your servant;
saying to them, 'Go on to the village over-against you, and immediately ye shall find an ass bound, and a colt with her -- having loosed, bring ye to me;
Say you to the daughter of Zion, Behold, your king comes to you, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.
Early in the morning as He was on His way to return to the city He was hungry,
Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
And, when he, entered, the temple, the Chief-priests and the Elders of the people, came unto him as he was teaching, saying, By what authority, these things, art thou doing? and, who, to thee, gave, this authority?
