For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, (as there are many gods and many lords) Yet to us there is but one God,
But there is not in all men this knowledge; for some do even until now, with consciousness of the idol, eat it as sacrificed to the idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled.
But meat commendeth us not to God; for neither if we eat, are we the better, nor if we eat not, are we the worse.

Therefore if a woman is not covered, let her also be shaved: but if it be shameful, for a woman to have her hair shaved off, or cut short, let her be covered.
A man indeed ought not to have his head covered, being the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of the man.

And there are diversities of administrations, but the same Lord:
And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God who worketh all in all.

But one and the same Spirit worketh all these, dividing to every one severally as he willeth.

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my Spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
What then is my duty? I will pray with the Spirit; but I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the Spirit; but I will sing with the understanding also.
Brethren, be not children in understanding: in wickedness be ye as infants, but in understanding be ye grown men.
