Then Esau said, "Let's be on our way! I will go in front of you."
Let my lord, I pray thee pass over before his servant, and let, me, lead on in my own easy way, at the pace of the cattle that are before me, and at the pace of the children, until that I come in unto my lord, towards Seir.
And Esau returned that day on his way to Seir.
And Jacob came safely to the city of Shechem which [is] in the land of Canaan, {on his way} from Paddan-Aram. And he camped before the city.

But they saw him when he was a long way off, and before he came near them they made a secret design against him to put him to death;
Reuben told them. "And no blood shedding, either. Instead, let's toss him into this cistern that's way out here in the wilderness. But don't lay a hand on him." (Reuben intended to free Joseph and return him to his father.)
And when they had sat down to eat bread, they lifted up their eyes and looked, and lo! a caravan of Ishmaelites, coming in from Gilead, - and, their camels, were bearing tragacanth gum, and balsam and cistus-gum, they were going their way, to take them down to Egypt.
Come on! Let's sell him to the Ishmaelites! That way, we won't have laid our hands on him. After all, he's our brother, our own flesh."
Then said Judah to Tamar his daughter-in-law - Remain a widow in the house of thy father until Shelah my son grow up. For he said, Lest, he also, die, like his brethren. So Tamar went her way, and remained in the house of her father.
And she put the garments of her widowhood off from her, and covered herself with a veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the entry of Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown, and she was not given to him as wife.
And he turned aside to her by the way, and said, Come, I pray thee, let me go in to thee; for he did not know that she was his daughter-in-law. And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou mayest come in to me?
Then she arose and went her way, and put off her veil from her, - and put on the garments of her widowhood.
And he asked the men of her place, saying, Where is the prostitute that was at Enaim, by the way-side? And they said, There was no prostitute here.
And when Joseph’s master heard the words of his wife, saying, “This is the way your servant treated me,” his anger burned.
Within three more days, Pharaoh will lift up your head, and restore you to your office. You will give Pharaoh's cup into his hand, the way you did when you were his cupbearer.
It turned out just the way he interpreted them to us: I was restored to my position, and the other man was hanged.”
This food should be held in storage for the land in preparation for the seven years of famine that will occur throughout the land of Egypt. In this way the land will survive the famine."
And he made him take his seat in the second of his carriages; and they went before him crying, Make way! So he made him ruler over all the land of Egypt.
But in this way will you be put to the test: by the life of Pharaoh, you will not go away from this place till your youngest brother comes here.
One of you is to be sent back so he can get your brother while the rest of you remain in custody. That way, we'll test whether or not you're telling the truth. If you're not, as surely as the Pharaoh lives, you're spies!"
Just be sure to bring your youngest brother back to me so what you've claimed can be verified. That way, you won't die."
And Joseph gave orders to fill their vessels with corn, and to restore every man's money into his sack, and to give them provision for the way. And thus did they to them.
So they lifted up their corn on their asses, - and went their way, from thence.
Then said the man the lord of the land unto us, Hereby, shall I get to know that honest men, ye are, - One brother of you, leave ye remaining with me, and corn for the famine of your houses, take ye and go your way;

They said, "The man asked directly concerning ourselves, and concerning our relatives, saying, 'Is your father still alive? Have you another brother?' We just answered his questions. Is there any way we could know that he would say, 'Bring your brother down?'"
Then said Judah unto Israel his father - Come! send thou down the young man with me that we may arise and go our way, - and live and not die, both we and thou and our little ones.
"If that's the way it has to be," their father Israel replied, "then do this: take some of the best produce of the land in your containers and take them to the man as a gift some resin ointment, some honey, fragrant resins, myrrh, pistachios, and almonds.
The men took this gift, double the amount of money, and Benjamin. They made their way down to Egypt and stood before Joseph.
Early the next morning, the men were sent on their way, along with their donkeys.
And when they had gone only a little way out of the town, Joseph said to the servant who was over his house, Go after them; and when you overtake them, say to them, Why have you done evil in reward for good?
God sent me ahead of you to keep you alive on the earth, and to save you all in a magnificent way.

In this way, Joseph acquired all the land in Egypt for Pharaoh, because every Egyptian sold his field since the famine was so severe for them. The land became Pharaoh’s,
And now your two sons who came to birth in Egypt before I came to you here, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh will be mine, in the same way as Reuben and Simeon are.
As for me, when I came to Paddan-Aram Rachel died {to my sorrow} in the land of Canaan on the way when [there was] still some distance to go to Ephrath. And I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (that [is], Bethlehem)."
Joseph said to his father, “Not that way, my father! This one is the firstborn. Put your right hand on his head.”
Dan shall be a serpent on the way, a viper on the road that bites the heels of a horse, so that its rider falls backward.

{And} on the way, at the place of overnight lodging, Yahweh encountered him and sought to kill him.
And Yahweh said unto Aaron, Go thy way to meet Moses, towards the desert. So he went his way, and fell in with him in the mountain of God and kissed him.
So Moses and Aaron went their way, - and gathered together all the elders of the sons of Israel.
And they will say, The God of the Hebrews called to us; we will go now a way of three days into the desert, and we will sacrifice to Jehovah our God, lest he fall upon us with death or with the sword.
Nevertheless, the fixed number of bricks, which they have been making heretofore, shall ye lay upon them, ye shall not diminish therefrom, - for idle, they are, on this account, it is that they are making an outcry, saying, We must go our way, we must sacrifice to our God.
Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried to Pharaoh, saying, "Why do you deal this way with your servants?
And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:
But on that day I will give special treatment to the land of Goshen, where My people are living;
Then did Pharaoh cry out - unto Moses and to Aaron, - and said-Go your way, sacrifice to your God, in the land.
"It wouldn't be right to sacrifice in this way," Moses replied, "because if we do, we will sacrifice to the LORD our God what is offensive to the Egyptians. If we offer sacrifices that are offensive to the Egyptians in front of them, they'll stone us, won't they?
A way of three days will we go into the desert and sacrifice to Jehovah our God as he shall say to us.
And the Lord said to Moses, Let your hand be stretched out to heaven, and all the land of Egypt will be dark, so that men will be feeling their way about in the dark.
And you shall eat of it this way, with your loins girded, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. And you shall eat it in a hurry. It is Jehovah's passover.
And the sons of Israel went their way and did, - as Yahweh had commanded Moses and Aaron, so, did they.
also, your flocks and your herds, take ye, as ye spake and go your way, - so shall ye bless, even me.
And the Lord gave the people such favor in the Egyptians’ sight that they gave them what they requested. In this way they plundered the Egyptians.
And when Pharaoh released the people, God did not lead them the way of the land of the Philistines, though it [was] nearer, because God said, "Lest the people change their mind when they see war and return to Egypt."
So God led the people the roundabout way of the desert toward the Reed Sea. The Israelis went up from the land of Egypt in military formation.
The LORD went in front of them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so they could travel both day and night.
And the pillar of cloud will not give way, the day, and the pillar of fire, the night, before the people.
And they said to Moses, Have you taken us away to die in the wilderness because there were no graves in Egypt? Why have you dealt this way with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?
But the sons of Israel, had gone their way on dry ground in the saidst of the sea, - and the waters had been to them a wall, on their right hand and on their left.
Egypt said, I will go after them, I will overtake, I will make division of their goods: my desire will have its way with them; my sword will be uncovered, my hand will send destruction on them.
For the horses of Pharaoh, with his chariots and his horsemen, entered into the sea, Then did Yahweh bring back upon them the waters of the sea, - But the sons of Israel, had gone their way on the dry ground through the midst of the sea.

And Moses told his father-in-law all that Yahweh had done to Pharaoh and to Egypt on account of Israel, all the hardship that had found them on the way, and [how] Yahweh delivered them.
And you warn them [of] the rules and the instructions, and you make known to them the way in which they must walk and the work that they must do.
They should judge the people at all times. Then they can bring you every important case but judge every minor case themselves. In this way you will lighten your load,
Moses sent his father-in-law on his way, and he went to his own land.
And the Lord said to Moses, Go down and give the people orders to keep back, for fear that a great number of them, forcing their way through to see the Lord, may come to destruction.
