And [the] righteous will see and fear, and will laugh at him, [saying],

There {they are very fearful} [where] no fear had been, because God has scattered the bones of him who encamps [against] you. You have put [them] to shame, because God has rejected them.

For [it is] not an enemy [that] taunts me, or I could bear [it]. [It is not] one who hates me [that] magnifies himself over me, or I could hide myself from him.

May he live forever in the presence of God. Appoint loyal love and faithfulness to preserve him.

They [who] would {deliver him to the sword} will become a portion for jackals.

However, the king will rejoice in God. Everyone who swears an oath by him will boast, because [the] mouth of [the] liars will be stopped.

to shoot from their hiding places [at the] blameless. Suddenly they shoot [at] him and do not fear.

And they [who] would cause him to stumble, their [own] tongue [will be] against them. All who gaze on them will shake.

[The] righteous will rejoice in Yahweh and take refuge in him, and all [the] upright in heart will boast.

He turned [the] sea into dry ground; they passed through the river on foot. There we rejoiced in him.

God will arise; his enemies will be scattered, and those who hate him will flee from before him.

Sing to God, sing praises to his name. Lift up [a song] to [the] rider on the clouds--his name is Yah-- and rejoice before him.

saying, "His God has abandoned him. Pursue and seize him, because there is no deliverer."

Let [the] desert dwellers bow down before him, and his enemies lick the dust.

So may he live, and may gold from Sheba be given to him, and may prayers be offered for him continually. May blessings be invoked for him {all day long}.

May his name endure forever. May his name increase {as long as the sun shines}, and let them be blessed in him. Let all nations call him blessed.

You crushed the heads of Leviathan; you gave him [as] food to [the] desert dwelling creatures.

Make vows and fulfill them to Yahweh, your God; let all surrounding him bring tribute to the [one to be] feared.

But they sinned still further against him by rebelling [against the] Most High in the desert.

When he killed [some of] them, then they sought him, and repented and earnestly sought God.

For their heart was not steadfast with him, nor were they faithful to his covenant.

For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and made him jealous with their images.

He brought him from following nursing ewes to shepherd Jacob, his people, and Israel, his inheritance.

Those who hate Yahweh would cringe before him, and their fate would be forever.

But he would feed him from [the] choicest wheat, and I would satisfy you with honey from a rock."

Righteousness will go before him, and it will make his steps a pathway.

I have found David, my servant. With my holy oil I have anointed him,

[The] enemy will not deceive him, and no {evil man} will afflict him.

But I will crush his adversaries before him, and I will strike those who hate him.

And [so] my faithfulness and my loyal love [will be] with him, and in my name his horn will rise up.

I will also make him [the] firstborn, [the] highest of [the] kings of [the] earth.

But I will not break off my loyal love from him, and I will not be false against my faithfulness.

All passing along [the] road plunder him; he has become a taunt to his neighbors.

You have also turned back the edge of his sword and have not helped him stand [his ground] in the battle.

You have cut short the days of his youth; you have covered him with shame. Selah

to declare that Yahweh [is] upright. [He is] my rock, and [there is] no injustice in him.

to give him rest from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked.

Splendor and majesty [are] before him; strength and beauty [are] in his sanctuary.

Fire goes before him, and devours his enemies round about.

Let all who serve an image be ashamed, those who boast about idols. Worship him, all you gods.

One who slanders his neighbor in secret, him I will destroy. [One] haughty of eyes and {arrogant} of heart, him I will not endure.

But the loyal love of Yahweh [is] from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him, and his righteousness to [their] children's children,

Sing to him; sing praises concerning him; tell of all his wonderful works.

Until [the] time his word came about, the word of Yahweh tested him.

[The] king sent and he freed him; [the] ruler of [the] peoples [sent] and let him loose.

He made him lord of his house and ruler of all his possessions,

So he said he would exterminate them, had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him, to reverse his wrath from destroying [them].

and it was reckoned to him as righteousness {throughout all generations}.

and let them exalt him in [the] congregation of [the] people, and praise him in [the] assembly of [the] elders.

Whoever [is] wise, then let him observe these [things], and let them consider Yahweh's acts of loyal love.

Appoint over him a wicked [man], and let an accuser stand at his right [hand].

When he is judged, let him come out guilty, and let his prayer become as sin.

Let there be none [who] extend to him loyal love, nor any who pities his orphans.

Because he loved cursing, let it come [upon] him. Because he did not delight in blessing, let it be far from him.

May it be for him like a garment [in which] he wraps, and a belt {he continually wears}.

I will give thanks to Yahweh exceedingly with my mouth, and in [the] midst of many I will praise him,

Praise Yahweh, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples.

Blessed [are] those who keep his testimonies; they seek him with a whole heart.

O Israel, wait for Yahweh. For with Yahweh [there is] loyal love, and with him [there is] abundant redemption.

Praise Yah! Praise the name of Yahweh. Praise [him], O servants of Yahweh,

To [him who] alone does great wonders, for his loyal love [endures] forever.

To [him who] spread out the earth above the waters, for his loyal love [endures] forever.

To [him who] made [the] great lights, for his loyal love [endures] forever.

To [him who] struck Egypt through their firstborn, for his loyal love [endures] forever.

To [him who] divided [the] {Red Sea} in two, for his loyal love [endures] forever.

To [him who] led his people through the wilderness, for his loyal love [endures] forever.

To [him who] struck great kings, for his loyal love [endures] forever.
