and they constrained Him, saying, Abide with us: because it is at the evening, and the day has already declined. And He came in to abide with them.
And it came to pass, when he had sat down with them to meat, he took the bread and blessed; and breaking it he gave to them.
Then Jesus led His apostles out [of Jerusalem] until they came near to Bethany [Note: This was a village fewer than two miles east of Jerusalem]. [There] He raised His hands and asked God's blessing on them.
And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried up into heaven.
All [things] came into being through him, and apart from him not one [thing] came into being that has come into being.
What came into existence in him was life, and the life was the light of men.
There came a man, sent from God, whose name was John.

He was not the light, but came that he might bear witness of the light.
HE was the true Light who came into the world, to enlighten every man.

When it came to his ears that Jesus had come from Judaea into Galilee, he went to him and made a request that he would come down to his son, who was near to death, and make him well.

Now this [is] again a second sign Jesus performed [when he] came from Judea into Galilee.
For an angel of the Lord came down to the pool [from heaven] at certain times and stirred up the water. Then the first person to enter the pool after the water became choppy was healed from whatever disease he had."}}
After a time Jesus came across him in the Temple and said to him, See, you are well and strong; do no more sin for fear a worse thing comes to you.
And Jesus came into the mountain; and was sitting there with His disciples.
And when evening came, his disciples went down unto the sea;
And having entered into a ship, they came beyond the sea to Capernaum. And already was there darkness, and Jesus had not come to them.
So they were wanting to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat came to the land to which they were going.
ON the next day, the multitude standing on the other side of the lake seeing that there was no other boat there except one, and that Jesus entered not into the ship with his disciples but his disciples had gone away alone,??23 but other boats came from Tiberias near the place where they had eaten bread after the Lord gave thanks,??24 when, therefore, the multitude saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they went into the ships and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.

But the feast already being midway, Jesus came up into the temple, and was teaching.
at which the Jews were surprized, saying, how came be acquainted with the scriptures, a man of no education?
Moses gave you the rite of circumcision (not that it came from Moses, it came from your ancestors), and you will circumcise a man upon the sabbath.
however, we know from what quarter this man comes: but when Christ comes it will be unknown whence he came.

When he said this a number came to have faith in him.
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I came forth and am come from God; for neither have I come of myself, but he sent me.
Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, Before Abraham came into being, I am.
and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is by interpretation, Sent). He went away therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
and ask'd them, is this your son, who you say was born blind? how came it then that he now sees?
We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this man, we do not [even] know where he came from."
The man replied, "Is not that strange! You do not know where he came from and yet he restored my sight! [Note: The next sentence may be the beggar stating the Pharisees' argument. See verse 24].
Unless this man came from God, he would not be able to do anything [like this]."
Their answer was: You came to birth through sin; do you make yourself our teacher? And they put him out of the Synagogue.
It came to the ears of Jesus that they had put him out, and meeting him he said, Have you faith in the Son of man?
And Jesus said, For judgment came I into this world, that they that see not may see; and that they that see may become blind.
These words came to the ears of the Pharisees who were with him and they said to him, Are we, then, blind?
All that came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
Therefore, again, there came a division among the Jews, because of these words,
