And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

And they asked him, saying, Teacher, we know that you say and teach rightly, neither do you regard any person, but teach the way of God truly:

And he went his way, and conferred with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

And they said one to another, Did not our hearts burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known to them in the breaking of bread.

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Isaiah.

The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city, and said to the men,
