THE REVELATION GOD GAVE TO JESUS CHRIST, so that he could tell his servants the things that must soon take place. Christ then sent his angel to communicate the symbolic message to his servant John.

And I saw a powerful angel proclaiming with a loud voice: Who is worthy to open the book, and to remove the seals?

All the angels stood around the throne, and the elders and the four living creatures. They fell before the throne on their faces, and worshiped God.

I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me. My appearance turned deathlike (pallor) (livid) (pale) and I had no strength. Yet I heard the sound of his words. When I heard the sound of his words I fell with my face toward the ground into a deep sleep. A hand touched me and set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

The angel spoke to the women: I know you seek Jesus who has been impaled; do not fear.

They entered the tomb. They were amazed at what they saw. A young man dressed in a white robe was sitting on the right side of the tomb. He said to them: Do not be amazed. Joseph had this in mind when God's angel appeared to him in a dream. The angel said to him: Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. She is pregnant by Holy Spirit.

When they left, the angel of God appeared to Joseph in a dream and said: Herod is looking to kill the young child. Arise, take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you to leave.

After Herod died God's angel appeared in a dream to Joseph who was in Egypt.

Not knowing that it was Jehovah's angel, Manoah said: Please do not go yet. Let us cook a young goat for you. The angel replied: If I stay I will not eat your food. That evening the two angels came to the entrance of the city of Sodom. Lot was sitting there as they arrived. When he saw them, he got up to greet them. Then he welcomed them and bowed low to the ground. My lords, he said, come to my home to wash your feet, and be my guests for the night. You may get up in the morning as early as you like and be on your way again. Oh no, they said, We will spend the night out here in the city square. Lot insisted, so at last they went home with him. He set a great feast before them, complete with fresh unleavened (unfermented) bread. read more.
They prepared to retire for the night when suddenly all the men of Sodom, young and old, came from all over the city and surrounded the house. They shouted to Lot: Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out so we can have sex with them! Lot stepped outside to talk to them, shutting the door behind him. Do you have any other relatives here in the city? The angels asked. Get them out of this place, sons-in-law, sons, daughters, or anyone else. We will destroy the city completely. The stench of the place has reached Jehovah. He has sent us to destroy it. Lot rushed out to tell his sons-in-law: Hurry! Get out of the city! Jehovah is going to destroy it. But the young men thought he was only joking. At dawn the next morning the angels became insistent. They said to Lot: Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here. Get out of here right now, or you will be caught in the destruction of the city. Lot still hesitated. So the angels seized his hand and the hands of his wife and two daughters and rushed them to safety outside the city, for Jehovah was merciful. Run for your lives! The angels warned. Do not stop and do not look behind you! Escape to the mountains, or you will die.

The angel of Jehovah came to the village of Ophrah. He sat under the oak tree that belonged to Joash, a man of the clan of Abiezer. His son Gideon was secretly threshing wheat in a wine press, so that the Midianites would not see him. Jehovah's angel appeared to him there and said: Jehovah is with you, mighty man of valor! Gideon said to him: May I ask, sir, why has all this happened to us if Jehovah is with us? What happened to all the wonderful things that our fathers told us Jehovah used to do, how he brought them out of Egypt? Jehovah has abandoned us. So Gideon went into his house and cooked a young goat and used a bushel of flour to make bread without any yeast. He put the meat in a basket and the broth in a pot, brought them to Jehovah's angel under the oak tree, and gave them to him. The angel told him: Put the meat and the bread on this rock, and pour the broth over them. Gideon did so. Jehovah's angel reached out and touched the meat and the bread with the end of the stick he was holding. Fire came out of the rock and burned up the meat and the bread. Then the angel disappeared. With that Gideon realized that it was Jehovah's angel he saw. He said in terror: Sovereign Lord Jehovah! I have seen your angel face-to-face!

The captain (commander) of Jehovah's host (army) said to Joshua: Take your shoes from your feet, for the place where you stand is holy. And at once Joshua did so.

He had a dream in which he saw a stairway set up on the earth with its top reaching up to heaven. He saw the angels of God going up and coming down on it.

Last night an angel of the God of whom I serve stood beside me.

Jehovah appeared to Abram and said: I will give this land to your offspring (seed). He built an altar there to Jehovah, who had appeared to him.

Solomon began to build Jehovah's Temple in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah. That is where Jehovah appeared to his father David. David had prepared the site on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
