'Neighbor' in the Bible
The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, “Why are you attacking your neighbor?”
Each woman will ask her neighbor and any woman staying in her house for silver and gold jewelry, and clothing, and you will put them on your sons and daughters. So you will plunder the Egyptians.”
Tellthe people that each man is to ask his neighbor and each woman her neighbor for articles of silver and gold."
If the household is too small for a whole animal, that person and the neighbor nearest his house are to select one based on the combined number of people; you should apportion the animal according to what each person will eat.
When they have a dispute, it comes to me and I decide between a person and his neighbor, and make known the statutes of God and his instructions."
Do not give false testimony against your neighbor.
Do not covet your neighbor’s house. Do not covet your neighbor’s wife, his male or female slave, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
If a person schemes and willfully acts against his neighbor to murder him, you must take him from My altar to be put to death.
"If men fight, and one strikes his neighbor with a stone or with his fist and he does not die, but must remain in bed,
If the ox of one man injures the ox of his neighbor so that it dies, then they will sell the live ox and divide its proceeds, and they will also divide the dead ox.
“When a man gives his neighbor money or goods to keep, but they are stolen from that person’s house, the thief, if caught, must repay double.
If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall come near unto God, to see whether he have not put his hand unto his neighbor's goods.
In any case of wrongdoing involving an ox, a donkey, a sheep, a garment, or anything else lost, and someone claims, ‘That’s mine,’ the case between the two parties is to come before the judges. The one the judges condemn must repay double to his neighbor.
“When a man gives his neighbor a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any other animal to care for, but it dies, is injured, or is stolen, while no one is watching,
the two of them are to take an oath in the LORD's presence that the accused has not taken his neighbor's property. Its owner is to accept this, and the neighbor is not to make restitution.
But if it was actually stolen from him, the neighbor is to make restitution to its owner.
If it was torn to pieces, let the neighbor bring the remains as evidence, and he is not to make restitution for what was torn apart.
“When a man borrows an animal from his neighbor, and it is injured or dies while its owner is not there with it, the man must make full restitution.
If thou at all take thy neighbor's garment to pledge, thou shalt restore it unto him before the sun goeth down:
He told them, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says, ‘Every man fasten his sword to his side; go back and forth through the camp from entrance to entrance, and each of you kill his brother, his friend, and his neighbor.’”
And Yahweh would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his neighbor. And he would return to the camp, and his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not leave the middle of the tent.
“When someone sins and offends the Lord by deceiving his neighbor in regard to a deposit, a security, or a robbery; or defrauds his neighbor;
And thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbor's wife, to defile thyself with her.
"You are not to steal or lie or deal falsely with your neighbor.
“You must not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages due a hired hand must not remain with you until morning.
“You must not act unjustly when deciding a case. Do not be partial to the poor or give preference to the rich; judge your neighbor fairly.
You shall not go about as a slanderer among your people, and you are not to act against the life of your neighbor; I am the Lord.
“You must not harbor hatred against your brother. Rebuke your neighbor directly, and you will not incur guilt because of him.
Do not take revenge or bear a grudge against members of your community, but love your neighbor as yourself; I am Yahweh.
And the man that committeth adultery with another man's wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
If any man inflicts a permanent injury on his neighbor, whatever he has done is to be done to him:
If you make a sale to your neighbor or a purchase from him, do not cheat one another.
You are to make the purchase from your neighbor based on the number of years since the last Jubilee. He is to sell to you based on the number of remaining harvest years.
No one is to cheat his neighbor. Instead, you are to fear your God, because I am the LORD your God.
Someone could flee there who committed manslaughter, killing his neighbor accidentally without previously hating him. He could flee to one of these cities and stay alive:
Do not give dishonest testimony against your neighbor.
Do not covet your neighbor’s wife or desire your neighbor’s house, his field, his male or female slave, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
This is how to cancel debt: Every creditor is to cancel what he has lent his neighbor. He is not to collect anything from his neighbor or brother, because the Lord’s release of debts has been proclaimed.
{Take care} so that there will not be {a thought of wickedness} in your heart, {saying}, 'The seventh year, the year of the remission of debt is near,' {and you view your needy neighbor with hostility}, and [so] you [do] not give to him, and he might cry [out] against you to Yahweh, and {you would incur guilt against yourself}.
“Here is the law concerning a case of someone who kills a person and flees there to save his life, having killed his neighbor accidentally without previously hating him:
If he goes into the forest with his neighbor to cut timber, and his hand swings the ax to chop down a tree, but the blade flies off the handle and strikes his neighbor so that he dies, that person may flee to one of these cities and live.
Otherwise, the avenger of blood in the heat of his anger might pursue the one who committed manslaughter, overtake him because the distance is great, and strike him dead. Yet he did not deserve to die, since he did not previously hate his neighbor.
But if someone hates his neighbor, lies in ambush for him, attacks him, and strikes him fatally, and flees to one of these cities,
Thou shalt not remove thy neighbor's landmark, which they of old time have set, in thine inheritance which thou shalt inherit, in the land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee to possess it.
When you see your neighbor's ox or sheep going astray, do not ignore it; you must return it without fail to your neighbor.
You shall do the same to his donkey, his clothes, or anything else your neighbor has lost and you have found; you must not refuse to get involved.
"You shall not see the donkey of your neighbor or his ox fallen on the road and you ignore them; certainly you must help them [get] up [along] with him.
then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them to death with stones; the damsel, because she cried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbor's wife: so thou shalt put away the evil from the midst of thee.
Do nothing to the young woman, because she is not guilty of an offense deserving death. This case is just like one in which a man attacks his neighbor and murders him.
When thou comest into thy neighbor's vineyard, then thou mayest eat of grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.
When thou comest into thy neighbor's standing grain, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thy hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbor's standing grain.
“When you make a loan of any kind to your neighbor, do not enter his house to collect what he offers as security.
Cursed be he that removeth his neighbor's landmark. And all the people shall say, Amen.
‘The one who secretly kills his neighbor is cursed.’And all the people will say, ‘Amen!’
And if the avenger of blood pursues him, they must not hand the one who committed manslaughter over to him, for he killed his neighbor accidentally and did not hate him beforehand.
When they blew the three hundred trumpets, Yahweh set [the] sword of each one against his neighbor throughout the whole camp, and the camp fled as far as Beth Shittah toward Zererah, up to Abel Meholah, the border by Tabbath.
Now this was the custom in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning exchanging, to confirm all things: a man drew off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbor; and this was the manner of attestation in Israel.

"This is what the LORD says: ""Listen very carefully! ""I'm raising up evil against you right out of your own household. ""I'm going to take your wives away from you right before your eyes. ""Then I'll give them to your neighbor. ""And then he's going to have sex with your wives in broad daylight!

Don’t testify against your neighbor without cause.Don’t deceive with your lips.
don't be in a hurry to argue in court. Otherwise, what will you do later on when your neighbor humiliates you?
Instead, take up the matter with your neighbor, and don't betray another person's confidence.
Let thy foot be seldom in thy neighbor's house, Lest he be weary of thee, and hate thee.
A man giving false testimony against his neighboris like a club, a sword, or a sharp arrow.
so is the man who deceives his neighborand says, “I was only joking!”
Don’t abandon your friend or your father’s friend,and don’t go to your brother’s housein your time of calamity;better a neighbor nearby than a brother far away.
