But now bring me a minstrel. And as the minstrel played, the hand of the LORD was upon him.

Then he said to Gehazi, "Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thine hand and away. If any man meet thee, salute him not. And if any salute thee, answer him not again. And put my staff upon the boy."

And Naaman was wroth and went away, and said, "Behold, I thought in myself, he would have come out, and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and put his hand on the place of the disease, and so take away the leprosy.

But herein the LORD be merciful to thy servant, for when my master goeth into the house of Rimmon to worship there, he leaneth on mine hand, and I must worship in the house of Rimmon: Let the LORD, I pray thee, be merciful unto thy servant in this case."

And he said, "Take it up to thee." And the other stretched his hand and caught it.

Then a great lord on whose hand the king leaned, answered the man of God and said, "Though the LORD would make windows in heaven, yet would not this be." And he said again, "Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes and shalt not eat thereof."

And Jehonadab said, "Yea, that it is." "If it be, then give me thine hand." And he gave his hand, and the other took him up to him into the chariot,

and shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapon in his hand. And whosoever cometh within the ranges shall die for it. And see that ye be with the king as he goeth out and in."

And the guard stood every man with his weapon in his hand round about the king, from the right corner of the temple to the left along by the altar and the temple.

Wherefore, the LORD was angry with Israel, and delivered them into the hand of Hazael king of Syria, and into the hand of Benhadad the son of Hazael all their days.

And he said to the king of Israel, "Put thine hand upon the bow, and when he had put his hand upon the bow, Elisha put his hands upon the king's hands."

And then Joash the son of Jehoahaz went again - and took out of the hand of Benhadad, son of Hazael, the cities which he had taken away out of the hands of Jehoahaz his father, with war. And three times did Joash beat him and brought the cities of Israel again.

And as soon as the kingdom was settled in his hand, he slew his servants that killed the king his father.

And the LORD had not yet said that men should put out the name of Israel from under heaven. And therefore he helped them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash.

"Thus say to Hezekiah king of Juda, 'Let not thy God carry thee out of the way, in whom thou so trustest, saying: Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

When Hezekiah had received the letter of the hand of the messenger and had read it, he went into the house of the LORD and laid it abroad before the LORD.

Now therefore LORD our God, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know, that thou LORD art God alone."

By the hand of thy messengers thou hast railed on the Lord and said, 'With the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, even along by the sides of Lebanon, and have cut off the high Cedar trees, and the lusty fir trees thereof, even to the wood of Carmel that belongeth thereto!

And I will lengthen thy days yet fifteen years, and will deliver both thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and will defend this city for mine own sake, and for David my servant's sake."

And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the hill altars where the priests did burn sacrifice, even from Geba to Beersheba. And he brake down the hill altars of the Gates, that were in the entering of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on the left hand of the gate of the city.
