And Zachariah said unto the angel, How shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well advanced in years.

Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

And her neighbors and her cousins heard how the Lord had showed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

And he said unto them, How is it that you sought me? knew you not that I must be about my Father's business?

How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the showbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat, but for the priests alone?

Either how can you say to your brother, Brother, let me pull out the speck that is in your eye, when you yourself behold not the beam that is in your own eye? you hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of your own eye, and then shall you see clearly to pull out the speck that is in your brother's eye.

Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things you have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.

Take heed therefore how you hear: for whosoever has, to him shall be given; and whosoever has not, from him shall be taken even that which he seems to have.

And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately.

And Jesus answering said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you, and bear with you? Bring your son here.

He said unto him, What is written in the law? how read you?

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?

If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because you say that I cast out demons through Beelzebub.

And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take you no thought how or what thing you shall answer, or what you shall say:

Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them: how much more are you better than the fowls?

Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

If then God so clothes the grass, which is today in the field, and tomorrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith?

But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I constrained till it be accomplished!

You hypocrites, you can discern the appearance of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that you do not discern this time?

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which kills the prophets, and stones them that are sent unto you; how often would I have gathered your children together, as a hen does gather her brood under her wings, and you would not!

And he put forth a parable to those who were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief places; saying unto them,

Salt is good: but if the salt has lost its taste, how shall it be restored?

And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

And he called him, and said unto him, How is it that I hear this of you? give an account of your stewardship; for you may be no longer steward.

So he called every one of his lord's debtors unto him, and said unto the first, How much owe you unto my lord?

Then said he to another, And how much owe you? And he said, A hundred measures of wheat. And he said unto him, Take your bill, and write fourscore.

And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hard it is for those that have riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.

And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son?

David therefore called him Lord, how is he then his son?

And as some spoke of the temple, how it was adorned with beautiful stones and gifts, he said,

And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.

And he went his way, and conferred with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crows, you shall deny me three times.

And the women also, who came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulcher, and how his body was laid.

He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spoke unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known to them in the breaking of bread.
