and to them he said, Go also ye into the vineyard, and whatsoever may be just I will give you. And they went their way.
They say to him, Because no man has hired us. He says to them, Go also ye into the vineyard and whatsoever may be just ye shall receive.
Take that which is yours, and go your way. It is my desire to give to this last just as much as to you.
Just as the Son of Man came, not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Just then, two blind men sitting along side of the road heard that Jesus was passing by that way. [So], they shouted out, "Lord, take pity on us, son of David."
So the disciples went and did just as Jesus directed them,
Jesus answered them, "Let me too ask you just one question, and if you answer it, I will tell you what sort of authority I have for doing as I do.
But they do all their deeds just to be seen by people. They wear elaborate Scripture texts displayed on their clothing and enlarge [conspicuously] the fringes of their robes.
"Alas for you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for you pay the tithe on mint, dill, and cumin, while you have neglected the weightier requirements of the Law--just judgement, mercy, and faithful dealing. These things you ought to have done, and yet you ought not to have left the others undone.
"Alas for you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for you are just like whitewashed sepulchres, the outside of which pleases the eye, though inside they are full of dead men's bones and of all that is unclean.
So also you outwardly appear to men to be just, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets and adorn the tombs of the just,
that upon you may come all the righteous blood which has been shed upon the earth, from the blood of Abel the just to the blood of Zachariah, the son of Barachiah, whom you slew between the temple and the altar.
"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem! thou who murderest the Prophets and stonest those who have been sent to thee! how often have I desired to gather thy children to me, just as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, and you would not come!
And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, His disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things [you just spoke of] happen? And what will be the sign that indicates your presence and the end of the [present] age?"
For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.
"Now learn what the story of the fig tree means. Just as soon as its branches grow tender, and put forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
just so ye, when ye behold these things, know that it is near, even at the gates.
For just as the days of Noah [were], so the coming of the Son of Man will be.
For just as in the days before the deluge they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the very day when Noah entered the ark,
Therefore, do you also prepare, since it is just when you are least expecting him that the Son of Man will come.
For it is, just as a man, who, going from home, called his own servants, and delivered up to them his substance;
And there will be gathered before him, all the nations, and he will separate them one from another, just as, the shepherd! separateth the sheep from the goats, -
Then the just will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and fed you? or thirsty and gave you drink?
And the king will answer them, 'I tell you the truth, just as you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of mine, you did it for me.'
Then he will answer them, 'I tell you the truth, just as you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for me.'
So they shall depart to eternal punishment, and the just to eternal life."
And the disciples did [just] as Jesus had asked them, and they made preparations for the Passover meal.
He answered, "The man who has just dipped his hand with me in the dish is the man who is going to betray me.
The Son of Man is going just as it is written about him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for him if that man had not been born."
And after they had sung a hymn, they went up to the Mount of Olives. [Note: This was a small hill just east of Jerusalem]
Then Jesus came with His disciples to a place called Gethsemene. [Note: This was an olive orchard on a hillside just east of Jerusalem]. He said to them, "You sit here while I go over there and pray."
rise, let us be gone, there he is, the traytor is just upon us.
Just then, while Jesus was still speaking, Judas, one of the Twelve, arrived. A large crowd armed with swords and clubs was with him. They were from the high priests and elders of the people.
Just then, one of those who were with Jesus [i.e., Peter. See John 18:10], reached out with his sword and struck the head priest's servant [with it], shearing off his ear.
Then the high priest tore his robes, saying, "He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? Behold, you have just now heard the blasphemy!
Then he began to curse violently. "I don't know the man!" he swore solemnly. Just then a rooster crowed.
and they gave them for the potter's field, just as the Lord directed me."
When he was set down to give judgment, his wife sent to him, saying, "Have thou nothing to do with that just man, I have suffered many things this day in a dream about him."
When Pilate saw that he gained nothing, but rather that a tumult was rising, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, and said: I am innocent of the blood of this just man; you will see to it.
Just then the temple curtain was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks were split apart.
and said, “Sir, we have remembered that when He was still alive that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise [from the dead].’

Just as he was coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens split open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
Just at that moment there was a man in their synagogue who was under the spell of a foul spirit, and so he screamed,
As they could not get him near Jesus on account of the crowd, they broke open the roof just over his head, and through the opening they lowered the mat with the paralytic lying on it.
On hearing this, Jesus said to them, "Those who are strong have no need of a doctor, but those who are ill: I have not come to call just men but sinners."
So the Pharisees were saying to Him, "Just look! Why are they doing on the Sabbath what it is against the law to do?"
Then He began again to teach by the seashore. And a crowd gathered around Him so great that He got into a boat and was sitting in it, just off the shore, while all the people were on the land close to the sea.
So, leaving the crowd behind, they took him with them just as he was in the boat; and the other boats were with him.
Just as Jesus stepped out of the boat, a man with an unclean spirit came out of the tombs and met him.
Now there was there just at the mountain a great herd of swine feeding;
for she was saying, "If I touch just his clothing, I will be healed!"
Just then Jesus perceived in Himself that [healing] power had gone out from Him so turned to the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothing?"
But when Jesus heard what they said, he told the synagogue leader, "Stop being afraid! Just keep on believing."
For this very Herod had sent and seized John and bound him and put him in prison, just to please Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, because Herod had married her.
For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just man, and a holy, and gave him reverence; And when he heard him he did many things, and heard him gladly.
And whatever villages or towns or country places He came to, they would lay the sick in the market-places and beg Him to let them touch just the tassel of His coat, and everybody that touched it was cured.
But just then a woman whose little daughter was dominated by an evil spirit heard about Jesus and came and fell down at His feet.
Now the woman was a Greek [i.e., a Gentile], a Syrophoenician by nationality. [Note: This was a region just north of Galilee and consisted of Syria and Phoenicia]. She begged Him to drive out the evil spirit from her daughter.
And they were utterly amazed, saying, "He has done everything just right; He makes even the deaf to hear and the mute to speak."
[Just then] a cloud engulfed them and a voice spoke out of the cloud saying, "This is my dearly loved Son, listen to Him."
But I tell you that indeed Elijah has come, and they did to him whatever they wanted, just as it is written about him."
saying to them, "Go into the village just ahead of you and, upon entering it, you will find tied up [there] a colt that no one has ever ridden; untie it and bring it here.
So they told them, just as Jesus had said, and they allowed them [to take it].
Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever you pray for and ask, believe that you just now received them, and they shall be unto you.

Just then up came one of the Scribes who had heard them arguing, and realized that Jesus had answered them admirably. "What commandment," he asked, "is the first of all?"

And when they lead you into court, and hand you over [to be judged], do not worry ahead of time about what you will say, but [just] say whatever you are told [i.e., by God] when the time comes.

So when you see these things happening, you must know that he is just at the door.
just as a man when he leaves home to go on a journey, and puts his slaves in charge, each with his duties, gives orders to the watchman to keep watch.
So the disciples set out and went into the city, and found everything just as Jesus had told them; and they prepared the Passover.

And there was a man at Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon, and he was a just and a religious man, who expected the consolation of Israel; and the holy Spirit was upon him.
