Multiplied are their griefs, Who have hastened backward; I pour not out their libations of blood, Nor do I take up their names on my lips.

I bless Jehovah who hath counselled me; Also in the nights my reins instruct me.

My steps have held closely to Your paths;
My feet have not staggered.

Show wondrously your acts of loyal love, O Savior of those who take refuge at your right hand from those who rise up against [them].

From the face of the wicked who spoiled me. Mine enemies in soul go round against me.

Arise, O LORD disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, who is thy sword:

From men who are thy hand, O Jehovah, from men of this age: their portion is in this life, and their belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure; they have their fill of sons, and leave the rest of their substance to their children.

To the Overseer. -- By a servant of Jehovah, by David, who hath spoken to Jehovah the words of this song in the day Jehovah delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul, and he saith: -- I love Thee, O Jehovah, my strength.

The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from [those who] hated me because they were stronger than I.

You prove to be loyal to one who is faithful; you prove to be trustworthy to one who is innocent.

You prove to be reliable to one who is blameless, but you prove to be deceptive to one who is perverse.

For you deliver oppressed people, but you bring down those who have a proud look.

This God--his way [is] blameless. The word of Yahweh [is] flawless. He [is] a shield for all those who take refuge in him.

For who is God besides Jehovah? And who is a rock save our God?

God! who is girding me with strength, And He maketh perfect my way.

Who maketh my feet like hinds' feet, and setteth me upon my high places;

Who teacheth my hands to war, and mine arms bend a bow of brass;

For you have armed me with strength to the battle. You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.

And you {made my enemies turn their backs}, then I destroyed those [who] hated me.

Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; and thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people whom I have not known shall serve me.

The Lord is alive! My protector is praiseworthy! The God who delivers me is exalted as king!

God -- who is giving vengeance to me, And He subdueth peoples under me,

who delivered me from my enemies. Indeed, you exalted me higher than [those who] rose against me. You delivered me from the man of violence.

the one who makes great victories for his king, and [who] shows loyal love for his anointed, to David and to his descendants forever.

and it [is] like a bridegroom who comes out of his bridal chamber. It is glad like a strong man to run [its] course.

Yes, your servant finds moral guidance there; those who obey them receive a rich reward.

Errors! who doth understand? From hidden ones declare me innocent,

Your hand will find all your enemies; your right hand will find those who hate you.

But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.

All [who] see me mock me. They open wide [their] lips; they shake [the] head, [saying]:

Yes, you are the one who brought me out from the womb and made me feel secure on my mother's breasts.

For dogs have surrounded me; a gang of those who practice of evil has encircled me. They gouged my hands and my feet.

Ye who fear Jehovah, praise ye Him, All the seed of Jacob, honour ye Him, And be afraid of Him, all ye seed of Israel.

For he has not been unmoved by the pain of him who is troubled; or kept his face covered from him; but he has given an answer to his cry.

From you [is] my praise. In [the] great assembly, I will pay my vows before those who revere him.

[The] afflicted will eat and will be satisfied. Those who seek him will praise Yahweh. May your heart live forever.

And the fat ones of earth have eaten, And they bow themselves, Before Him bow do all going down to dust, And he who hath not revived his soul.

They shall come, and declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, whom the LORD hath made.

The LORD is the one who is shepherding me; I lack nothing.

The earth is Yahweh's, with its fullness, [the] world and those who live in it,

Who goeth up into the hill of Jehovah? And who riseth up in His holy place?

The clean of hands, and pure of heart, Who hath not lifted up to vanity his soul, Nor hath sworn to deceit.

Such godly people are rewarded by the Lord, and vindicated by the God who delivers them.

Such [is the] sort of those who seek him, those who seek your face, even Jacob. Selah

Who is this -- 'the king of glory?' Jehovah -- strong and mighty, Jehovah, the mighty in battle.

Who is He -- this 'king of glory?' Jehovah of hosts -- He is the king of glory! Selah.

Indeed, none who wait for you should be put to shame. Those who betray without cause should be put to shame.

Guide me into your truth and teach me. For you are the God who delivers me; on you I rely all day long.

All the paths of Yahweh [are] loyal love and faithfulness for those who keep his covenant and statutes.

Who is this -- the man fearing Jehovah? He directeth him in the way He doth choose.

Intimate fellowship with Yahweh [is] for those who fear him, and [he] makes known his covenant to them.

My eyes look to the LORD continuously, because he's the one who releases my feet from the trap.

See how those who are against me are increased, for bitter is their hate of me.

I do not associate with deceitful men, or consort with those who are dishonest.

I hate the company of those who practice evil, nor do I sit with the wicked.

Do not group me with sinners, nor include me with men who shed blood.

who are always ready to do wrong or offer a bribe.

By David. Jehovah is my light and my salvation, Whom do I fear? Jehovah is the strength of my life, Of whom am I afraid?

When evildoers drew near against me to eat my flesh-- my adversaries and my enemies [who drew near] to me-- they themselves stumbled and fell.

Now I will triumph over my enemies who surround me! I will offer sacrifices in his dwelling place and shout for joy! I will sing praises to the Lord!

Do not reject me! Do not push your servant away in anger! You are my deliverer! Do not forsake or abandon me, O God who vindicates me!

Teach me how you want me to live; lead me along a level path because of those who wait to ambush me!

Do not turn me over to my enemies, for false witnesses who want to destroy me testify against me.

To you, Yahweh, I call. My rock, don't be deaf to me; lest, if you are silent to me, I would become like those who go down into the pit.

Do not drag me away with [the] wicked or with [the] workers of evil, [who] speak of peace with their neighbors, while evil [is] in their heart.

O Yahweh! thou hast lifted, out of hades, my soul, Thou hast brought me back to life, from among those who were going down to the pit.

I hate those who regard lying vanities, but I trust in Yahweh.

Because of all my adversaries I have become a disgrace, especially to my neighbors, and a dread to my acquaintances. [Those who] see me in the street flee from me.

My times [are] in your hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from [those who] pursue me.

Let the lying lips be put to silence; who speak grievous things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

How abundant [is] your goodness that you have stored up for [those who] fear you, that you perform for those who take refuge in you before [the] children of humankind.

Love Yahweh, all you his faithful ones. Yahweh preserves [the] faithful but repays abundantly [the] one who acts arrogantly.

Be strong, and He strengtheneth your heart, All ye who are waiting for Jehovah!

Happy is he who has forgiveness for his wrongdoing, and whose sin is covered.

Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

For this, let everyone who is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him.

You are my safe and secret place; you will keep me from trouble; you will put songs of salvation on the lips of those who are round me. (Selah.)

Don't be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you.

Many are the pains of the wicked; As to him who is trusting in Jehovah, Kindness doth compass him.

Be glad in Yahweh, and rejoice, you righteous! Shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart!

Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous ones;
Praise is becoming and appropriate for those who are upright [in heart—those with moral integrity and godly character].

Who loveth righteousness and justice, With the lovingkindness of Yahweh, the earth is full.

Who gathered as into a skin-bottle the waters of the sea, Delivering, into treasuries, the roaring deeps.

Let the whole earth fear the Lord! Let all who live in the world stand in awe of him!

Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

From his house he keeps watch on all who are living on the earth;

Who is forming their hearts together, Who is attending unto all their works.

A horse disappoints those who trust in it for victory; despite its great strength, it cannot deliver.

Behold, the eye of Yahweh [is] on those who fear him, on those who hope for his loyal love

Let your loving kindness be on us, Yahweh, since we have hoped in you. By David; when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.

Those who look to Him are radiant with joy;
their faces will never be ashamed.

A messenger of Jehovah is encamping, Round about those who fear Him, And He armeth them.

Taste ye and see that Jehovah is good, O the happiness of the man who trusteth in Him.

Fear Yahweh, [you] his saints, for there is no lack for [those who] fear him.

[The] young lions are in want and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh will not lack for any good thing.

Who is the man that is desiring life? Loving days to see good?
