'Away' in the Bible

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter in the law to drop out.

As they were listening to this, He went on to tell a parable because He was near Jerusalem, and they thought the kingdom of God was going to appear right away.

When you hear of wars and rebellions, don’t be alarmed. Indeed, these things must take place first, but the end won’t come right away.”

I assure you: This generation will certainly not pass away until all things take place.

He went away and discussed with the chief priests and temple police how he could hand Him over to them.

For the Son of Man will go away as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!”

But since they were not far from land (about 100 yards away), the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish.

Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called the Mount of Olives, which is near Jerusalem—a Sabbath day’s journey away.

And now, I tell you, stay away from these men and leave them alone. For if this plan or this work is of men, it will be overthrown;

and said to him:Get out of your countryand away from your relatives,and come to the landthat I will show you.

“But the one who was mistreating his neighbor pushed him away, saying:Who appointed you a ruler and a judge over us?
