Then your rejoicing in the Messiah Jesus will increase along with mine when I visit with you again.

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

holding fast to the word of life, for a source of pride to me in the day of Christ, that I did not run in vain or labor in vain.

Indeed, I am confident in the Lord that I will come to visit you soon.

Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

The doctrines and the line of conduct which I taught you--both what you heard and what you saw in me-- hold fast to them; and God who gives peace will be with you.
