At another time, as he was teaching, it happened that some Pharisees, and doctors of the law were sitting by, who came from the several towns of Galilee and Judea, and from Jerusalem: when the power of the Lord appear'd in their relief.
Besides, he applied this similitude to them. no man, said he, puts a piece of new cloth upon an old coat: if he does, the new will strain the old, and they will by no means suit one another.

Now as a great crowd was coming together and people were coming to Him from one town after another, He said by way of a story:
Another portion of them fell upon the rock, and as soon as they sprang up, they withered, because they had no moisture.
Still another portion fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up with them and choked them out.
And another portion fell in rich soil and grew and yielded a crop of a hundredfold." As He said this, He exclaimed, "Let him who has ears to hear with, listen!"
And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And being afraid they marvelled, saying one to another, Who then is this, that he commandeth even the winds and the water, and they obey him?
And it was in his praying, the look of his face was another, and his clothing white, shooting forth lightning.
And he turned around and rebuked them; and they went to another village.
And they went to another village.
At another time, as they were walking in the road, a man said to him, I will be your follower, wherever you go.
And he said unto another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.

and after that they did not venture to ask him another question.
As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in which there shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
Then said he unto them, "Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, one realm against another;
having then taken the cup, and given thanks, he said, take this, and distribute it to one another.
And in the same way He took [another] cup, after the [Passover] meal, and said, "This cup is [i.e., represents] the New Agreement [i.e., between God and mankind] made by my blood, which is [to be] poured out for you.
And they began to debate with one another who then of them it could be who was going to do this.
And after a little while another saw him, and said, Thou also art one of them. But Peter said, Man, I am not.
And after the space of about one hour another confidently affirmed, saying, Of a truth this man also was with him; for he is a Galilaean.

And he said unto them, What communications are these that ye have one with another, as ye walk? And they stood still, looking sad.
And they said one to another, Was not our heart burning within us, while he spake to us in the way, while he opened to us the scriptures?
For we have all received from His full richness one favor after another.
But he said to them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. The disciples said one to another, Hath any man brought him to eat?
upon which the disciples said one to another, hath any man brought him any thing to eat?
upon this occasion, that saying is verified, "one soweth, and another reapeth."
Later on, there was another festival of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
the sick man answered him, sir, I have nobody to put me into the pool when the water has been agitated: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
