My adversaries trample me all day,for many arrogantly fight against me.
They twist my words all day long;all their thoughts against me are evil.

But I will sing of Your strengthand will joyfully proclaimYour faithful love in the morning.For You have been a stronghold for me,a refuge in my day of trouble.

and there will be a booth for shade from heat by day, and a refuge and shelter from storm and rain.
On that day they will roar over it,like the roaring of the sea.When one looks at the land,there will be darkness and distress;light will be obscured by clouds.
On that daythe Lord will whistle to the flythat is at the farthest streams of the Nileand to the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
On that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the Euphrates River—the king of Assyria—to shave the head, the hair on the legs, and to remove the beard as well.
And on that dayevery place where there were 1,000 vines,worth 1,000 pieces of silver,will become thorns and briers.
For You have shattered their oppressive yokeand the rod on their shoulders,the staff of their oppressor,just as You did on the day of Midian.
So the Lord cut off Israel’s head and tail,palm branch and reed in a single day.
What will you do on the day of punishmentwhen devastation comes from far away?Who will you run to for help?Where will you leave your wealth?
Israel’s Light will become a fire,and its Holy One, a flame.In one day it will burn up Assyria’s thorns and thistles.
On that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no longer depend on the one who struck them, but they will faithfully depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel.
On that dayhis burden will fall from your shoulders,and his yoke from your neck.The yoke will be broken because of fatness.
On that day the root of Jessewill stand as a banner for the peoples.The nations will seek Him,and His resting place will be glorious.
On that day the Lord will extend His hand a second time to recover—from Assyria, Egypt, Pathros, Cush, Elam, Shinar, Hamath, and the coasts and islands of the west—the remnant of His people who survive.
On that day you will say:“I will praise You, Lord,although You were angry with me.Your anger has turned away,and You have had compassion on me.
and on that day you will say:“Give thanks to Yahweh; proclaim His name!Celebrate His works among the peoples.Declare that His name is exalted.
Wail! For the day of the Lord is near.It will come like destruction from the Almighty.
Look, the day of the Lord is coming—cruel, with rage and burning anger—to make the earth a desolationand to destroy the sinners on it.
Therefore I will make the heavens tremble,and the earth will shake from its foundationsat the wrath of the Lord of Hosts,on the day of His burning anger.
On that daythe splendor of Jacob will fade,and his healthy body will become emaciated.
On that day people will look to their Maker and will turn their eyes to the Holy One of Israel.
On that day their strong cities will belike the abandoned woods and mountaintopsthat were abandoned because of the Israelites;there will be desolation.
On the day that you plant,you will help them to grow,and in the morningyou will help your seed to sprout,but the harvest will vanishon the day of disease and incurable pain.
On that day Egypt will be like women. She will tremble with fear because of the threatening hand of the Lord of Hosts when He raises it against her.
On that day five cities in the land of Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and swear loyalty to the Lord of Hosts. One of the cities will be called the City of the Sun.
On that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the center of the land of Egypt and a pillar to the Lord near her border.
The Lord will make Himself known to Egypt, and Egypt will know the Lord on that day. They will offer sacrifices and offerings; they will make vows to the Lord and fulfill them.
On that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. Assyria will go to Egypt, Egypt to Assyria, and Egypt will worship with Assyria.
On that day Israel will form a triple alliance with Egypt and Assyria—a blessing within the land.
