'Strength' in the Bible

Turn to me and be gracious to me.Give Your strength to Your servant;save the son of Your female servant.

I am counted among those going down to the Pit.I am like a man without strength,

For You are their magnificent strength;by Your favor our horn is exalted.

The Lord reigns! He is robed in majesty;The Lord is robed, enveloped in strength.The world is firmly established;it cannot be shaken.

Splendor and majesty are before Him;strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.

Ascribe to the Lord, you families of the peoples,ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.

He has broken my strength in midcourse;He has shortened my days.

Praise the Lord,all His angels of great strength,who do His word,obedient to His command.

Search for the Lord and for His strength;seek His face always.

Or let it take hold of My strength;let it make peace with Me—make peace with Me.

a spirit of justiceto the one who sits in judgment,and strengthto those who turn back the battle at the gate.

For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said:“You will be delivered by returning and resting;your strength will lie in quiet confidence.But you are not willing.”

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for helpand who depend on horses!They trust in the abundance of chariotsand in the large number of horsemen.They do not look to the Holy One of Israeland they do not seek the Lord’s help.

You are to say: This is what the Lord God says:Will it flourish?Will he not tear out its rootsand strip off its fruitso that it shrivels?All its fresh leaves will wither!Great strength and many peoplewill not be needed to pull it from its roots.

These will pay the penalty of eternal destruction from the Lord’s presence and from His glorious strength
