'Tell' in the Bible
Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, a servant isn't greater than his master, and a messenger isn't greater than the one who sent him.
Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.
Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, the one who receives whomever I send receives me, and the one who receives me receives the one who sent me."
After saying this, Jesus was deeply troubled in spirit and declared solemnly, "Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, one of you is going to betray me!"
So Simon Peter *gestured to him, and *said to him, “Tell us who it is of whom He is speaking.”
“Children, I am with you a little while longer. You will look for Me, and just as I told the Jews, ‘Where I am going you cannot come,’ so now I tell you.
Jesus answered him, "Would you lay down your life for me? I tell you emphatically, a rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times."
Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.
Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, the one who believes in me will also do what I'm doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I'm going to the Father.
You have heard Me tell you, ‘I am going away and I am coming to you.’ If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.
But I have told you these things so that when their time comes you may remember I told them to you. I didn’t tell you these things from the beginning, because I was with you.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
“I still have many things to tell you, but you can’t bear them now.
and when He may come -- the Spirit of truth -- He will guide you to all the truth, for He will not speak from Himself, but as many things as He will hear He will speak, and the coming things He will tell you;
He will glorify me, because of mine He will take, and will tell to you.
'All things, as many as the Father hath, are mine; because of this I said, That of mine He will take, and will tell to you;
They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.
Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, you'll cry and mourn, but the world will rejoice. You'll be deeply distressed, but your pain will turn into joy.
On that day, you won't ask me for anything. Truly, I tell all of you emphatically, whatever you ask the Father for in my name, he will give it to you.
“I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. A time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures, but I will tell you plainly about the Father.
Jesus answered him, "If I have said anything wrong, tell me what it was. But if I have told the truth, why do you hit me?"
Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
So she ran, as fast as she could, to find Simon Peter and the other disciple--the one who was dear to Jesus--and to tell them, "They have taken the Master out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have put Him."
Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.
“Don’t cling to Me,” Jesus told her, “for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to My brothers and tell them that I am ascending to My Father and your Father—to My God and your God.”
Jesus told him, "Feed my sheep. "Truly, I tell you emphatically, when you were young, you would fasten your belt and go wherever you liked. But when you get old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will fasten your belt and take you where you don't want to go."
So this report spread to the brothers that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not tell him that he would not die, but, “If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you?”
"Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and that his tomb is among us to this day.
When they had prayed, the place in which they were assembled shook, and they were, one and all, filled with the Holy Spirit, and proceeded to tell God's Message with boldness.
And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.
“Go and stand in the temple complex, and tell the people all about this life.”
And now, I tell you, stay away from these men and leave them alone. For if this plan or this work is of men, it will be overthrown;
But when Philip began to tell the Good News about the Kingdom of God and about the Name of Jesus Christ, and they embraced the faith, they were baptized, men and women alike.
The eunuch answered Philip and said, “Please tell me, of whom does the prophet say this? Of himself or of someone else?”
So Philip proceeded to tell him the good news about Jesus, beginning from that Scripture.
But Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard many people tell how much evil this man has done to your saints in Jerusalem.
He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

As Paul and Barnabas were leaving, the people kept urging them to tell them the same things the next Sabbath.

Otherwise, these men themselves should tell what wrong they found when I stood before the Council
I have nothing very definite, however, to tell our Sovereign about him. So I have brought the man before you all--and especially before you, King Agrippa--that after he has been examined I may find something which I can put into writing.
