'Whose' in the Bible

Now in Shushan the palace there was a certain Jew, whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite;

Then Haman said to King Ahasuerus, "There is a particular people that is dispersed and spread among the inhabitants throughout all the provinces of your kingdom whose laws differ from those of all other peoples. Furthermore, they do not observe the king's laws. It is not appropriate for the king to provide a haven for them.

And Haman cometh in, and the king saith to him, 'What -- to do with the man in whose honour the king hath delighted?' And Haman saith in his heart, 'To whom doth the king delight to do honour more than myself?'

And Haman saith unto the king, 'The man in whose honour the king hath delighted,

let them bring a royal robe which the king has worn, and the horse on which the king has ridden, and on whose head a royal crown has been placed;

and to give the clothing and the horse into the hand of a man of the heads of the king, the chiefs, and they have clothed the man in whose honour the king hath delighted, and caused him to ride on the horse in a broad place of the city, and called before him: Thus it is done to the man in whose honour the king hath delighted.'

And Haman taketh the clothing, and the horse, and clothed Mordecai, and causeth him to ride in a broad place of the city, and calleth before him, 'Thus it is done to the man in whose honour the king hath delighted.'

And the king Ahasuerus saith, yea, he saith to Esther the queen, 'Who is he -- this one? and where is this one? -- he whose heart hath filled him to do so?'

Then Harbonah, one of the eunuchs attending the king, observed, "Look there! A pole is standing 50 cubits high at Haman's house that he prepared for Mordecai, whose report benefitted the king!"

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

Or with rulers who had gold, and whose houses were full of silver;

In that place, the wicked stop causing trouble, and there, those whose strength is exhausted are at rest.

Why is light given to one burdened with grief,and life to those whose existence is bitter,

To those whose desire is for death, but it comes not; who are searching for it more than for secret wealth;

Why is light given to a man whose way is hid, and whom God hath hedged in?

How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth?

Whose harvest the hungry eateth up, and taketh it even out of the thorns, and the robber swalloweth up their substance.

For arrows of the Mighty are with me, Whose poison is drinking up my spirit. Terrors of God array themselves for me!

Do you understand his wondrous work of balancing the clouds, the one whose knowledge is perfect,

You whose clothes get hotwhen the south wind brings calm to the land,

Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?

By whose wisdom are the clouds numbered, or the water-skins of the heavens turned to the earth,

Whose house I have made the wilderness, and the barren land his dwellings.

But whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and whose mind is on his law day and night.

He is like a tree planted beside streams of waterthat bears its fruit in seasonand whose leaf does not wither.Whatever he does prospers.

Then he whose seat is in the heavens will be laughing: the Lord will make sport of them.

You will send destruction on those whose words are false; the cruel man and the man of deceit are hated by the Lord.

O Lord, our Lord, whose glory is higher than the heavens, how noble is your name in all the earth!

Make songs of praise to the Lord, whose house is in Zion: make his doings clear to the people.

For the evil-doer is lifted up because of the purpose of his heart, and he whose mind is fixed on wealth is turned away from the Lord, saying evil against him.

Ascribe power to God, whose glory is over Israel, whose power is in the skies.

My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to you, whose life you have redeemed.

My tongue will be talking of your righteousness all the day; for those whose purpose is to do me evil have been crushed and put to shame.

A psalm by Asaph. Certainly God is good to Israel, and to those whose motives are pure!

They are cutting down, like a man whose blade is lifted up against the thick trees.
