And then will I knowledge unto them, that I never knew them: 'Depart from me, ye workers of iniquity.'

And as soon as the devil was cast out, the dumb spake. And the people marveled, saying, "It was never so seen in Israel."

Wherefore if ye had wist, what this saying meaneth, 'I require mercy and not sacrifice,' ye would never have condemned innocents.

Peter answered, and said unto him, "Though all men should be offended by thee, yet would I never be offended."
