as ye know likewise, how we exhorted and comforted every one of you, as a father his children; and charged you, that ye should walk worthy of God, who hath called you to his kingdom and glory.

But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord; because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation, through sanctification of the Spirit, and belief of the truth: to which He hath called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.


Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high-priest of our profession, Christ Jesus; who was faithful to Him that appointed Him, as Moses also was in all his house.

Therefore, as the holy Ghost saith, "To-day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness, when your fathers tempted me,























And no one taketh this honor to himself, but he that is called by God, as Aaron was. So also Christ did not glorify himself to be made an high-priest; but He that said unto Him, "Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee."
















If any one destroy the temple of God, him will God destroy: for the temple of God is holy, and this temple are ye.




Then said Paul, John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people, that they should believe in Him that was coming after him, that is, in Christ Jesus.





Salute one another with a kiss of charity. Peace be with you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

and let not those who have believing masters, despise them, because they are brethren; but serve them more readily, because they are faithful and beloved by God, partakers of his grace.
