I did not know Him myself, but I came baptizing in water, that He might be made known to Israel."

As soon as the manager tasted the water just turned into wine, without knowing where it came from, although the servants who had drawn the water did know, he called the bridegroom

He came to Jesus one night and said to Him, "Teacher, we know that you have come from God, for no one can perform the wonder-works that you are doing, unless God is with him."

And yet no one has gone up into heaven except the Son of Man who came down out of heaven.

Then a discussion came up between John's disciples and a Jew about purification.

So He came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the field which Jacob gave to his son Joseph;

A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, "Give me a drink."

Just then His disciples came up, and they were surprised to find Him talking with a woman, yet not one of them asked Him, "What do you want?" or "Why are you talking with her?"

So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they kept on urging Him to stay with them; so He did stay there two days.

So He came back to Cana in Galilee where He had turned the water into wine. Now there was at Capernaum an officer of the king's court whose son was sick.

When evening came, His disciples went down to the sea

Then they were willing to take Him on board, and at once the boat came to the shore it was making for.

Then the Jews began to grumble about His saying, "I am the bread that came down out of heaven."

Then Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. No, indeed, I have not come on my own authority, but He has sent me.

All who came as such before me are thieves and robbers, but the true sheep would not listen to them.

At that time came the Feast of Rededication at Jerusalem. It was winter,

If men to whom God's message came are called gods -- and the Scriptures cannot be made null and void --

And many people came to Him and kept on saying, "John did not perform any wonder-works, but everything he ever said about this man was true."

When Mary came where Jesus was and saw Him, she threw herself at His feet, and said, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died."

Then out came the dead man, his feet and hands tied with wrappings, and his face tied up with a handkerchief. Jesus said to them, "Untie him and let him go."

Thus many of the Jews, who came to see Mary and who saw what Jesus had done, believed in Him;

Now six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus lived, whom He had raised from the dead.

A goodly number of the Jews learned that He was at Bethany, and so they came there, not only to see Jesus but also to see Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead.

Now my soul is troubled; what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour of agony! And yet it was for this very purpose that I came to this hour of agony.

Father, glorify your name." Then a voice came out of heaven, "I have already glorified it and I will again glorify it."

And yet in spite of all this, even among the leading men many came to believe in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not own it, for fear of being turned out of the synagogue,

Thus He came to Simon Peter. Peter said to Him, "Lord, are you going to wash my feet?"

Then Jesus, as He knew everything that was going to befall Him, came forward and asked them, "Who is it that you are looking for?"

So Pilate came outside and asked, "What is the charge you bring against this man?"

So Jesus came outside still wearing the crown of thorns and the purple coat. Then Pilate said to them, "Here is the man!"

But when they came to Jesus, as they saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs,

Then Simon Peter came running up behind him, and he went inside, and saw the bandages lying on the ground,

So then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, went inside and saw, and he came to believe it.

Now Thomas, one of the Twelve, who was called the Twin, was not with them when Jesus came in.

Just a week later the disciples were in the room again and Thomas was with them. Although the doors were bolted, Jesus came in and stood among them, and said, "Peace be with you!"

"So one of these men who have been associated with us all the time the Lord Jesus came and went among us,

when suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a terrific blast of wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting,

While they were talking to the people, the high priests, the military commander of the temple, and the Sadducees came down upon them,

About three hours later, his wife came in, without having learned what had taken place.

She instantly fell dead at his feet. When the young men came in, they found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her beside her husband.

But the attendants who went for them could not find them in the jail, and so came back and

But somebody came by and reported to them, "The men that you put in jail are standing right here in the temple square, teaching the people."

and Jacob came down to Egypt. There he and our forefathers died

but it was Solomon who came to build a house for Him.

For many of those under the power of foul spirits cried out and the spirits came out of them, and many paralyzed and crippled people were cured.

But when the people came to believe the good news proclaimed by Philip about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were constantly baptized.

So Simon himself came to believe too, and after he was baptized he continued to be devoted to Philip, and he was always thrilled at seeing such great signs and wonder-works continuously performed.

They came and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit,

As they continued down the road, they came to some water, and the official said, "Look! here is some water! What is there to keep me from being baptized?"

When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away; the official saw him no more, for he went on home rejoicing;

This became known all over Joppa, and many came to believe in the Lord.

So it came about that Peter stayed in Joppa several days, at the house of a tanner named Simon.

A voice came to him, "Get up, Peter, kill something and eat it."

A second time the voice came to him, "The things that God has cleansed you must not call unclean."

"I was praying in the town of Joppa, and while I was praying I fell in a trance and had a vision. I saw something like a great sheet coming down out of the sky, lowered by the four comers; and it came right down to me.

Now the news about them came to the ears of the church at Jerusalem, and so they sent Barnabas all the way to Antioch.

and after he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. Now for a whole year their meeting with the church lasted, and they taught large numbers of people. It was at Antioch too that the disciples first came to be known as "Christians."

At that time some prophets from Jerusalem came down to Antioch,

They passed the first guard, then the second, and at last came to the iron gate which led into the city. The gate of itself opened to them, and they passed out and proceeded one block when all at once the angel left him.

Then Peter came to himself and said, "Now I really know that the Lord has sent His angel and rescued me from the power of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting to do to me."

When he knocked at the outer door, a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer it,

When morning came, there was no little commotion among the soldiers as to what had become of Peter.

Now Herod cherished a bitter grudge against the people of Tyre and Sidon. So in a united body they came to meet him, and after winning the favor of Blastus, the king's chamberlain, they asked for peace, because their country depended for its food supply upon the king's country.

The governor, because he saw what had occurred, was thunderstruck at the Lord's teaching, and so came to believe.

At Iconium too they went to the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks came to believe.

The priest of the temple of Zeus, which stood at the entrance to the town, came with crowds of people to the gates, bringing bulls and garlands; he meant to offer sacrifices to them.

But some Jews came from Antioch and Iconium, and won the crowds by persuasion, and they stoned Paul, and dragged him outside the town, supposing he was dead.

Some people came down from Judea and began to teach the brothers, "Unless you are circumcised in accordance with the custom that Moses handed down, you cannot be saved."

She kept this up for a number of days. Because Paul was so much annoyed by her, he turned and said to the spirit in her, "In the name of Jesus Christ I order you to come out of her." And that very moment it came out.

and came and pleaded with them, and took them out and begged them to leave town.

Many of them came to believe, and not a few distinguished Greek women and men.

But when the Jews at Thessalonica learned that God's message had been proclaimed at Berea by Paul, they came there too to excite the masses and stir up a riot.

Some men, however, joined him and came to believe, among them Dionysius, a member of the city council; also a woman named Damaris, and some others.

Then they came to Ephesus, and Paul left them there. He went into the synagogue and had a discussion with the Jews.

Meanwhile, a Jew named Apollos came to Ephesus. He was a native of Alexandria, a learned man, and skillful in the use of the Scriptures.

It was while Apollos was in Corinth that Paul, by passing through the inland districts, came to Ephesus. He found a few disciples there

and when Paul laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they began to speak in foreign tongues and to prophesy.

While we were spending some days here, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.

He came to see us and took Paul's belt and with it bound his own hands and feet, and said, "This is what the Holy Spirit says, 'The Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt like this, and then will turn him over to the heathen.'"

On the next day we went with Paul to see James, and all the elders of the church came too.

Then the colonel came up and seized Paul and ordered him to be bound with two chains; he then asked who he was and what he had done.

came to see me, and standing by my side said to me, 'Saul, my brother, recover your sight!' Then instantly I did recover it and looked at him,

So the colonel came to Paul and asked, "Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?" He answered, "Yes."

But Paul's nephew heard of the plot and came to the barracks and told Paul.

This man had been seized by the Jews and they were on the point of killing him when I came upon them with the soldiers and rescued him, because I had learned that he was a Roman citizen.

Five days later, the high priest Ananias came down with some elders and a prosecuting attorney, Tertullus, and through him they presented their case against Paul before the governor.

After several years' absence I came to bring contributions of charity for my nation, and to offer sacrifices.

Some days later, Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul and heard him talk about faith in Christ Jesus.

After the passing of a few days, King Agrippa and Bernice came to Caesarea to pay official respects to Festus,

So they came back here with me, and I made no delay to take my seat on the judge's bench, and ordered the man to be brought in.

So the next day, Agrippa and Bernice came with splendid pomp and went into the audience-room, attended by the colonels and the leading citizens of the town, and at the command of Festus, Paul was brought in.

Because the brothers at Rome had heard of our coming, they came as far as Appius' Market and the Three Taverns to meet us, and as soon as Paul caught sight of them, he thanked God and took courage.

Three days later, he invited the leading men of the Jews to come to see him, and when they came, he said to them, "Brothers, I have done nothing against our people or the customs of our forefathers; yet at Jerusalem I was turned over to the Romans as a prisoner.

So they set a day for him, and came in large numbers to see him at the place where he was lodging, and from morning till night he continued to explain to them the kingdom of God, at the same time giving them his own testimony and trying from the law of Moses and the prophets to convince them about Jesus.

So Paul for two whole years lived in a rented house of his own; he continued to welcome everybody who came to see him;

So here is the comparison: As through one man sin came into the world, and death as the consequence of sin, and death spread to all men; because all men sinned.

I was once alive when I had no connection with the law, but when the command came, sin revived, and then I died;

Now when I came to you, brothers, I did not come and tell you God's uncovered secret in rhetorical language or human philosophy,

Yes, as for myself, it was in weakness and fear and great trembling that I came to you,

rather, we are setting forth a wisdom that came from God, once a covered secret but now uncovered, which God marked off as His plan for bringing us to glory.
