Save your people, and bless those who belong to you. Be their shepherd, and carry them forever.

Jehovah of Hosts has blessed, saying: Blessed is Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.

We were assigned as heirs predetermined according to his purpose. He works all things according to his direction and will.

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God. They may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'

You are born to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that does not fade away and is reserved in heaven for you.

Now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace. This is able to build you up, and to give you the inheritance among all them that are sanctified.

You know that God will give you the reward of the inheritance when you serve the Master, Christ.

The younger one said to him, Father I want my share of the property. He divided his property between his two sons.

Now the works of the flesh (sinful human nature) are apparent. They are: fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, wrath, contentions, divisions, sects, envies, drunkenness, revelries, and things like these. I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that those who practice such things would not inherit the kingdom of God.

They will also ask: 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty, a stranger or naked, sick or in prison and not minister to you?' For you know this with certainty, that no fornicator, no unclean person, no covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words. It is because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Do not be partakers with them.

The elders of his city must summon him and speak to him. If he persists and says: I do not desire to take her, his brother's wife shall must to him in the sight of the elders. What he did displeased Jehovah. So Jehovah killed him also. Judah said to his daughter-in-law Tamar: Return to your father's house and remain a widow until my son Shelah grows up. He said this because he was afraid that Shelah would be killed, as his brothers had been. So Tamar went back home.

and so Jehovah says that the daughters of Zelophehad are free to marry anyone they wish but only within their own tribe. The property of every Israelite will remain attached to his tribe. Then Naomi her mother-in-law said to her: My daughter, Should I try to find a secure home for you where you will be well treated? Boaz is of our kindred, with whose servant girls you have been. He will be your comforter when you are old, because your daughter-in-law, who in her love for you is better than seven sons, has given birth to him. Naomi took the child in her arms and took care of it. Her neighbor women gave it a name. They said: Naomi has a child. They gave him the name of Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

Jehovah knows the days of the blameless. Their inheritance will be forever.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy he gave us a new birth to a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. You are born to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that does not fade away and is reserved in heaven for you. You are protected by God's power through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

He raises the poor from the dust. He lifts up the needy from the dunghill to set them among the princes. He causes them to inherit a throne of glory (honor). The pillars of the earth are Jehovah's. He sets the world on them.

Wise people will inherit glory. But disgrace is the legacy of stupid (foolish) people.

Now this I say, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Corruption may not inherit incorruption.

Wisdom dwells with discretion and it finds knowledge and sound judgment. Respect for Jehovah means to hate evil. I hate: pride, and arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I understand and I am very strong. read more.
Kings reign by me, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. I love those who love me. Those who earnestly seek me will find me. Riches and honor are with me. Yes, durable riches and righteousness. My fruit is better than gold, yes, better than fine gold. My yield is better than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth. I will fill their treasuries.

He who overcomes will inherit all things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.

He who troubles his own house will inherit the wind. The fool will serve the wise of heart.

The simple are clothed with folly. The prudent are crowned with knowledge.

Jehovah will not abandon his people. He will not desert those who belong to him.

Zelophehad, son of Hepher, grandson of Gilead, descendant of Machir, whose father was Manasseh, belonged to the families of Manasseh, son of Joseph. Their names were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. Why should our father's name be allowed to die out in his family because he had no son? Give us property among our father's relatives. So Moses brought their case to Jehovah. Jehovah said to him: Zelophehad's daughters are right. You must give them property of their own among their father's relatives. Turn their father's property over to them. Tell the Israelites: 'If a man dies and leaves no sons, turn his property over to his daughters. If he has no daughters give his property to his brothers. If he has no brothers give his property to his uncles on his father's side of the family. If he has no uncles, give his property to the nearest relative in his family. That relative will take possession of it. This will be a rule for the Israelites, as Jehovah commanded Moses.'
