Whereupon the Jews said, "See how he loved him!" ??37 though some of them asked, "Could he not have prevented him from dying, when he could open a blind man's eyes?"
when he had spoke this, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.
When many of Mary's Jewish friends, who had come to console her, saw what Jesus had done, they believed in Him.
when they were in the temple, they enquired for Jesus, and said to one another, do you think he will not be at the feast?
But he did not say this because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief and when he had charge of the purse he used to take what was put in it.
"Let her alone," said Jesus, "that she may keep it till the day when my body is being prepared for burial.
When a large crowd of Jews learned that Jesus was there [in Bethany], they came not only because of Him, but also to see Lazarus whom He had raised from the dead.
On the morrow a great multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
this passage his disciples did not understand at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, they remembred how they had mounted him, and perceiv'd that those words related to him.
The multitude therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, bare witness.
but Jesus answered them, saying, the time is come, when the son of man is to be glorified.
verily, verily I say unto you, when a corn of wheat is thrown into the ground, there it lies a single grain unless it dies: but if it die, it becomes very fruitful.
When they heard the sound, the people standing by said it had thundered; others said, "An angel spoke to him."
as for me, when I shall be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me.
While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become sons of light." When Jesus had said these things, he went away and hid himself from them.
So that the words of the prophet Isaiah might come true, when he said, Lord, who has any belief in our preaching? and the arm of the Lord, to whom has it been unveiled?
these things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
When any one hears my teaching and pays no heed to it, I am not his judge; for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
And I know his orders mean eternal life. Therefore when I speak, I speak as the Father has told me."
Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus perceiving that his hour was come, when he was to pass out of this world, and go to the father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
And [as] a dinner was taking place, [when] the devil had already put into the heart of Judas [son] of Simon Iscariot that he should betray him,
When he came to Simon Peter, Peter said: "You, Master! Are you going to wash my feet?"
So when he had washed their feet, and taken his garments, and sat down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
When I say 'you,' I do not mean you all; I know the men of my choice, and I made my choice that this scripture might be fulfilled, he who eats my bread has lifted up his heel against me.
I tell it you now before it happens, that when it is come to pass, you may believe that I am the Messias.
When Jesus utter'd these words, he was troubled in spirit, and said without disguise, I assure you, that one of you shall betray me.
Jesus answered, he it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have made it. and when he had made the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
And when Judas took the bread Satan went into him. Then Jesus said to him, Do quickly what you have to do.
He then having received the sop, went out immediately. And it was night, when he went out.
When he was gone, Jesus said, now is the son of man glorified, and God is glorified by him.
and when I am gone, and have prepar'd a place for you, I will come again, to take you with me, that where I am there ye may be also.
You should believe me [when I say] that I am in [fellowship with] the Father, and the Father is in [fellowship with] me. Or else believe me for the sake of the deeds themselves that I perform.
when ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
When that day comes [i.e., after His ascension ?], you will know that I am in [fellowship with] the Father, and that you are in [fellowship with] me, and that I am in you [i.e., through the Holy Spirit].
[Then] Judas (not the betrayer) [Note: This was the son of James, See Luke 6:16. He is also called Thaddaeus, See Matt. 10:3], said to Jesus, "Lord, what has happened [i.e., to your original plans to be seen by everyone when you came. See Luke 21:27], that you will reveal yourself to us apostles [only] and not to the [whole] world?"
And now I have said it to you before it come to pass, that when it may come to pass, ye may believe;
This is how my Father is glorified, when you produce a lot of fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
No one shows greater love than when he lays down his life for his friends.
And when the Comforter may come, whom I will send to you from the Father -- the Spirit of truth, who from the Father doth come forth, he will testify of me;
they shall expel you out of the synagogues: yea, the time is coming, when it will be thought an agreeable sacrifice to God for any one to take away your lives.
But these things I have spoken to you, that when the hour may come, ye may remember them, that I said them to you, and these things to you from the beginning I did not say, because I was with you;
Yet it is only the truth when I tell you that it is better for you that I should go away. For if I do not go, the Helper will not come to you, but if I go I will send him to you.
and when he is come, he will convince the world of sin, of justice, of judgment:
and when He may come -- the Spirit of truth -- He will guide you to all the truth, for He will not speak from Himself, but as many things as He will hear He will speak, and the coming things He will tell you;
Then some of his disciples said to one another, "What does he mean when he tells us, 'In a little while you will not see me any longer, and a little while after, you will see me again,' and 'Because I am going away to the Father'?"
Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him a question, so he asked them, "Are you discussing among yourselves what I meant when I said, "In a little while you will no longer see me, then in a little while you will see me again'?
Truly, truly, I tell you, you will cry and mourn [i.e., over my suffering and death], but the world will be glad [about it]. You will be sad, but your sadness will turn to joy [i.e., when learning of my resurrection].
'The woman, when she may bear, hath sorrow, because her hour did come, and when she may bear the child, no more doth she remember the anguish, because of the joy that a man was born to the world.
When that time comes, you will not ask me any questions; I tell you, whatever you ask the Father for, he will give you as my followers.
'These things in similitudes I have spoken to you, but there cometh an hour when no more in similitudes will I speak to you, but freely of the Father, will tell you.
When that time comes you will ask as my followers, and I do not promise to intercede with the Father for you,
but, alas, the time is coming, yea, is already come, when ye shall be dispers'd every one to his own retreat, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the father is with me.
When Jesus had said all these things, He lifted His eyes to heaven and said: "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that He may glorify you,
and now I shall be no more in the world, but they will be in the world, when I am come to thee. holy father keep them by that authority, with which thou hast invested me, that they may be one, as we are.
when I was with them in the world, I was keeping them in Thy name; those whom Thou hast given to me I did guard, and none of them was destroyed, except the son of the destruction, that the Writing may be fulfilled.
When Jesus had spoken these words, he pass'd with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was a garden, into which he entred with them.
when, therefore, he said to them -- 'I am he,' they went away backward, and fell to the ground.
so he asked them once more, "Who are you looking for?" And when they replied, "Jesus the Nazarene,"
When He had said these things, one of the temple police standing by slapped Jesus, saying, “Is this the way you answer the high priest?”
The Jewish leaders told him, "It is not legal for us to put anyone to death." This was to fulfill what Jesus had said when he indicated the kind of death he was to die.
Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find no crime in him.
When, therefore, the chief priests and the officers did see him, they cried out, saying, 'Crucify, crucify;' Pilate saith to them, 'Take ye him -- ye, and crucify; for I find no fault in him;'
When, therefore, Pilate heard this word, he was the more afraid,
When Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus outside. He sat down on the judge’s bench in a place called the Stone Pavement (but in Hebrew Gabbatha).
(It was the day when they made ready for the Passover; and it was about the sixth hour.) And he said to the Jews, There is your King!
The soldiers, therefore, when they did crucify Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to each soldier a part, also the coat, and the coat was seamless, from the top woven throughout,

when, therefore, Jesus received the vinegar, he said, 'It hath been finished;' and having bowed the head, gave up the spirit.
and having come to Jesus, when they saw him already having been dead, they did not break his legs;
Then they took the body of Jesus, folding linen about it with the spices, as is the way of the Jews when they put the dead to rest.
The first day of the week early in morning Mary Magdalene, when it was yet dusky, came to the sepulchre, and found the stone was taken away from the sepulchre.
Finally, the other disciple, who had arrived at the cave-like tomb first, went on into it. And [when] he saw [the grave clothes, but no body], he believed [in Jesus' resurrection].
When she had thus said, she turned herself back, and beholdeth Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.
Jesus said to her, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not ascended to the Father yet [Note: Apparently Jesus was discouraging Mary from embracing Him in worship as was done in Matt. 28:9, and thereby causing a delay of when the rest of the disciples would learn of His resurrection], but go to my brothers and tell them [I said] 'I am [about] to ascend to my Father and to your Father, and to my God and your God.'"
When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
Having said this, He showed them His hands and His side.
and when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, "receive ye the holy spirit.
Whosever sins you forgive, they will be forgiven [by God]. And whosever sins you do not forgive, they will not be forgiven [by God]." [Note: Actual forgiveness would result only when people responded, by faith, to the Gospel message. See Acts 2:37-38].
And Thomas, one of the twelve, who is called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came;
and when the rest of the disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord," he said, "Unless I see his hands with the mark of the nails, and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe it."
Eight days after, when his disciples were again in private, and Thomas with them: Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, peace be with you.
But these [signs] are written down so that you will believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that when you believe [this], you will have [never ending] life in His name [i.e., through His person and work].
It was in this way:--Simon Peter, Thomas, who was called 'The Twin,' Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, Zebediah's sons, and two other disciples of Jesus, were together, when Simon Peter said:
when Simon Peter said to them, I am going a fishing. they reply'd, we likewise will go with you. so they departed and went on board a vessel,; but that night they caught nothing.
When daybreak came, Jesus stood on the shore. However, the disciples did not know it was Jesus.
Therefore the disciple, the one Jesus loved, said to Peter, “It is the Lord!”
When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tied his outer garment around him
When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish lying on it, and bread.
When they had eaten breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter,
“Yes, Lord,” he said to Him, “You know that I love You.”
this he said to signify to Peter by what death he should glorify God. and when he had spoken this, he said to him, follow me.
When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord—what about him?”
My first account, O Theophilus, dealt with all that Jesus began doing and teaching from the beginning down to the day when,
Till the day when he was taken up to heaven after he had given his orders, through the Holy Spirit, to the Apostles of whom he had made selection:
being with them when they were assembled, he order'd they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for what the father had promis'd, which, said he, I mention'd.
So when they had come together, they asked Him, “Lord, are You restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?”
Jesus replied, "You are not permitted to know the [specific] time or date [when this will happen]. For the Father has appointed it [to happen] when He determines [the right time].
