So Joseph, when he awoke from his sleep, did as the angel of the Lord directed him, and took home his wife:

Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, in the days of king Herod, behold, there came certain wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

And when Herod the king heard it, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him:

and sending them to Bethlehem, he said, Go and make diligent search for the child, and when ye have found Him, let me know, that I also may come and worship Him.

When they had heard the king, they went: and lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went on before them, till it came and stood over the place where the child was.

And when they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy;

And when they were departed, behold an angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Rise and take the child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and continue there, untill I tell thee to return: for Herod will seek the child to destroy Him.

Then Herod, when he saw that he was baffled by the wise-men, was very much enraged; and he sent and slew all the male-children in Bethlehem, and in all its borders, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had exactly inquired of the wise-men.

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

but when he heard that Archelaus reigned over Judea in the room of Herod his father, he was afraid to go thither; however being warned of God in a dream, he retired into the district of Galilee.

And behold, all the city came out to meet Jesus; and when they saw Him, they intreated Him to depart from their coasts.

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, Why doth your master eat with publicans and sinners?

And when He was come into the house, the blind men came to Him: and Jesus saith unto them, Do ye believe that I am able to do this? and they say unto Him, Yes Lord.

But when they persecute you in one city, flee into another: for verily I tell you, ye shall not finish your commission through the cities of Israel, before the Son of man shall come.

And when Jesus had made an end of giving orders to his twelve disciples, He departed from thence to teach and preach in their cities.

And when the pharisees saw it they said to Him, See, thy disciples are doing what is not lawful for them to do on the sabbath.

But He replied, Have ye not read what David did, when he, and his attendants, were hungry? how he went into the house of God,

Now when an impure spirit is gone out of a man, he wanders through dry desert places, seeking rest, and findeth none:

then saith he, I will return into my house, that I came out of; and when he cometh, he findeth it empty, swept, and set off to advantage:

but when the sun rose, they were burnt up, and withered; because they had no root:

Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the gospel-kingdom,

yet hath he no root in himself, and therefore is but for a short season; and when affliction cometh, or persecution on account of the word, he is as soon disgusted.

Now when the blade shot forth, and produced the corn, then the tares also appeared.

Which is indeed one of the lest of all seeds: but when it is grown, is the greatest among herbs, and even becometh a tree; so that the birds of the air come and lodge in it's branches.

But when Herod's birth-day was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod, so

And when Jesus heard it, He departed from thence in a ship to a solitary place of retirement: but the people hearing where He was followed Him on foot from the cities:

and when Jesus came out of the ship, He saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them; and He healed their sick.

Now when it was evening his disciples came to Him and said, This is a desert place, and meal-time is now past; dismiss the people, that they may go away to the towns, and buy themselves victuals.

and when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were affrighted and said, It is an apparition;

Whereupon his disciples came and said to Him, Dost thou know that the pharisees, when they heard this assertion, were offended at it?

So that the people wondered when they saw the dumb speaking, the maimed become sound, the lame walking, and the blind seeing: and they glorified the God of Israel.

and taking the seven loaves and the fishes, when He had given thanks, He brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

Now when his disciples departed to the other side, they forgot to take bread with them:

and therefore when Jesus said to them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the pharisees and of the sadducees,

How is it then that ye do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread, when I bid you to beware of the leaven of the pharisees and of the sadducees?

And when Jesus came into the parts of Cesarea Philippi, He asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I, the Son of man, am?

And when they lifted up their eyes, they saw none but Jesus only.

And when they were come to the multitude, there came to Him a man kneeling down and saying,

And when they were come to Capernaum, the receivers of the tribute-money came to Peter and said, Doth not your master pay tribute? Yes, saith he.

And when he came into the house, Jesus prevented him and said, What thinkest thou, Simon? Of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? Of their own children, or of other people?

and when he began to reckon, there was brought to him one, who was debtor in ten thousand talents:

Now when his fellow-servants saw what was done, they were very much grieved, and came and acquainted their lord with all that had passed.

And when Jesus had finished these discourses, He departed from Galilee, and came into the borders of Judea, beyond Jordan:

His disciples, when they heard this, were exceedingly struck, and said, Who then can be saved?

Now when evening was come, the owner of the vineyard saith to his steward, Call the work-men and pay them their hire, beginning from the last even to the first.

but when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonders that He wrought, and the children crying out in the temple, Hosanna to the Son of David, they were vexed to the heart, and said to Him, Dost thou hear what these say?

And when He was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to Him as He was teaching, and said, By what authority dost thou these things, and who gave thee this authority?

And when the fruit-season drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, to receive the fruits of it:

But when the husbandmen saw the Son, they said among themselves, This is the heir, come, let us kill him, and seize on his inheritance:

When therefore the lord of the vineyard cometh, what will he do to those husbandmen?

And when the chief priests and pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that He spake of them:

And when the king heard of it, he was highly provoked, and sent his troops, and destroyed those murderers, and burnt their city.
