No longer do I call you slaves, because the slave does not know what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything that I have heard from my Father I have revealed to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and your fruit should remain, in order that whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. These [things] I command you: that you love one another.

Matthew 10:37-39

The one who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and the one who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. The one who finds his life will lose it, and the one who loses his life because of me will find it.
