Therefore God also highly exalted him, and bestowed on him the name which is above every name,

but to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.

Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith,

so that your proud confidence in me may abound in Christ Jesus through my coming to you again.

having the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.

Let those of us who are mature have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you.

You yourselves also know, Philippians, that in the first preaching of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you only;

Therefore I hope to send him immediately, as soon as I see how things go with me;

But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
