Husbands, be loving to your wives, and be not cross or surly with them.

Finally, you should all be harmonious, sympathetic, loving as brothers, tender-hearted, humble-minded;

Which do you want? Am I to come to you with a rod, or in a loving and tender spirit?

But the harvest-fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, fidelity, gentleness, and self-control;

But when the kindness of God our Saviour, And his love toward men shined forth,

with purity, understanding, patience, and kindness; by the Holy Spirit, by love sincere,

Or do you despise the riches of his kindness and forbearance and long patience? Do you not know that the kindness of God is leading you to repentance?

Therefore, as God's chosen people, consecrated and beloved, clothe yourselves with tenderness of heart, kindness, humility, gentleness, good temper;

But without your consent I was unwilling to do anything, so that your kindness to me might be of your own free will, and not of compulsion.
