And let this raiment and horse be delivered under the hand of one of the king's princes, that he may array the man withal, whom the king would fain honour: and carry him upon the horse through the streets of the city, and cause it to be proclaimed before him, 'Thus shall it be done to every man, whom the king would fain honour.'"
Esther said, "The enemy and adversary is this wicked Haman." As for Haman, he was exceedingly afraid before the king and the queen.
Esther said, "If it please the king, let him suffer the Jews tomorrow also to do according unto this day's commandment, that they may hang Haman's ten sons upon the tree."
This was done on the thirteenth day of the month Adar, and on the fourteenth day of the same month rested they, which day they ordained to be a day of feasting and gladness.
For the which cause they called this day Purim after the name of Pur, according to all the words of this writing: and what they themselves had seen, and what had happened unto them.
And queen Esther the daughter of Abihail and Mordecai the Jew wrote with all authority, to confirm this second writing of Purim,
And Esther commanded to establish these acts of this Purim, and to write them in a book.

Is it with a man, that I make this disputation? Which if it were so, should not my spirit be then in sore trouble?

Nevertheless, man will not abide in honour, seeing he may be compared unto the beasts that perish; this is the way of them.
This way of theirs is very foolishness, and yet their posterity praise it with their mouth. Selah.

Yet for all this they sinned more against him, and provoked the most highest in the wilderness.

Turn thee again, thou God of hosts, look down from heaven, behold and visit this vine,
For this was made a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he came out of Egypt, and had heard a strange language.
An unwise man will not know this, and a fool will not understand it -
This shall be written for those that come after, that the people which shall be born may praise the LORD.
So is this great and wide sea also, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts.
The righteous will consider this and rejoice; the mouth of all wickedness shall be stopped.
and they shall know how that this is thy hand, and that thou, LORD, hast done it.
Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth for evermore.
But we will praise thee LORD, from this time forth for evermore. Praise the everlasting! Hallelujah!
This is the LORD's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day which the LORD hath made! Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
They continue this day according to thine ordinance; for all things serve thee.
The LORD preserveth thy going out and thy coming in, from this time forth for evermore.
