You say that this man has been teaching the people evil things: now I, after going into the question before you, see nothing wrong in this man in connection with the things which you have said against him
a man who had been thrown into prison for an insurrection in the city, and for murder.

So, they went in [i.e., into the cave-like tomb], but did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

and this is the subject of their condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men have loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For anyone who is in the habit of doing wrong hates the light, and to keep his actions from being reproved, he does not come out into the daylight.
whereas anyone whose life is true comes out into the light, to make it plain that his actions have been divinely prompted.
After this Jesus went with his disciples into Judea, where he stay'd with them for some time,
for John was not yet cast into prison.

This is again the second sign that Jesus did, having come out of Judaea into Galilee.
After these things was the feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up into Jerusalem.
(for a messenger went down at certain times into the pool, and agitated the water: the first then that stepped in after this commotion of the water, was cured of whatever disease he had.)
the sick man answered him, sir, I have nobody to put me into the pool when the water has been agitated: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
But the man who was cured did not know who it was,
The Father is not the judge of men, but he has given all decisions into the hands of the Son;
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth him that sent me, hath eternal life, and cometh not into judgment, but hath passed out of death into life.
And they will come out; those who have done good, into the new life; and those who have done evil, to be judged.
And Jesus went up into the mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
The people, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, cry'd out, this is of a truth that prophet who was to come into the world.
Jesus therefore perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force, to make him king, withdrew again into the mountain himself alone.
In the evening, his disciples went down to the sea, And entering into the vessel, they went over the sea toward Capernaum:
and they entered into a boat, and were going over the sea unto Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
then they readily received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they were bound.
On the morrow the multitude that stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was no other boat there, save one, and that Jesus entered not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples went away alone
So, on the following day, when boats came from Tiberias near the place were they had eaten bread, after the Lord had given thanks, they got into the boats themselves,
when the multitude therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they themselves got into the boats, and came to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.
I am the living bread, having come down out of heaven. If any man eats of this bread, he will live into the age. And also, the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
So, Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly, I tell you, unless you eat the physical body of the Son of man and drink His blood, you do not have [spiritual] life in yourselves [Note: The references to "body" and "blood" throughout this section allude to taking Jesus' life and teaching into one's heart. See verse 56].
This is the bread that came down out of heaven, not as your fathers ate the manna and died. He who eats this bread will live into the age.
From this time many of His disciples went back into the things behind, and walked no more with Him.
After that Jesus went about into Galilee, and would not go about in Jewry, for the Jews sought to kill him.
His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may behold thy works which thou doest.

Is it not true that not any of the rulers or of the Pharisees have believed into him?
And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
"Many things I have to speak and to judge concerning you. But He who sent me is true, and the things which I have heard from Him are those which I have come into the world to speak."
They made answer unto him - Seed of Abraham, are we, and, unto no one, have been brought into bondage, at any time: How sayest, thou, Free, shall ye be made?
And the bondman does not remain in the house into the age. The Son remains into the age.
I know you are Abraham's offspring; but ye seek to kill me, because my doctrine doth not penetrate into you.
Truly, truly, I say to you, if any man keeps my word, he will, no, not see death, into the age.
The Jews therefore said to him, Now we know that thou have a demon. Abraham died, and the prophets, and thou say, If any man keeps my word, he will, no, not taste of death, into the age.

having said this, he spit on the ground, which by means of his saliva he made into clay, wherewith he anointed the eyes of the blind man,

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
And I give them eternal life, and they will, no, not perish into the age, and not any will snatch them out of my hand.
If the Law said they were gods, to whom the word of God came ??and scripture cannot be broken ??36 do you mean to tell me, whom the Father consecrated and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am God's Son'?
how can you say that I blaspheme, I whom the father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, because I said I am the son of God?
And he went away again beyond the Jordan into the place where John was at the first baptizing; and there be abode.
Then after this he saith to the disciples, Let us go into Judaea again.
But Jesus had spoken about his death. However, they supposed that He was referring to falling into a natural sleep.
Now when Jesus came, he made the discovery that Lazarus had been put into the earth four days before.
