but he is a Jew, who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in spirit, not in letter, whose praise is not of men, but of God.

But, if our unrighteousness commends the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous, Who visits with wrath? (I speak after the manner of a man).

even a righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ, to all who believe; for there is no distinction;

Whom God set forth as a propitiation, through faith in His blood, for the manifestation of His righteousness, because of the passing over of the formerly-committed sins in the forbearance of God:

for the manifestation of His righteousness in the present time, to the end that He may be righteous, even when declaring righteous him who has faith in Jesus.

if, indeed, God is One Who will justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through faith.

but to him that works not, but believes on Him Who justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned for righteousness.

Even as David also speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God reckoneth righteousness, apart from works,

Happy is the man to whom the Lord will not reckon sin."

And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while in uncircumcision; that he might be father of all who believe while in uncircumcision, that the righteousness might be reckoned to them;

and father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also walk in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham, which he had in uncircumcision.

For, if those who are of the law are heirs, faith has been made void, and the promise has been brought to nought;

For this cause it is of faith, that it may be according to grace; to the end that the promise may be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all

(as it has been written, "A father of many nations have I made you"), before God Whom he believed, Who maketh alive the dead, and calleth the things that are not, as though they were;

who, past hope, believed against hope, to the end that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, "So shall your seed be."

but for ours also, to whom it will be reckoned, if we believe on Him Who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead;

Who was delivered up for our trespasses, and raised for our justification.

through Whom also we have had access by faith into this grace in which we have been standing; and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

and hope makes not ashamed; because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the holy Spirit, Who was given to us.

and not only so, but we are rejoicing in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom we now received the reconciliation.

but yet death reigned from Adam until Moses even over those who sinned not after the likeness of Adam's transgression, who is a type of Him Who was to come.

For, if, by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; much more shall those who receive the abundance of the grace, and of the gift of righteousness, reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

It could not be! How shall we, who died to sin, live any longer therein?

Or are ye ignorant, that all we who were immersed into Christ Jesus were immersed into His death?

Know ye not that to whom ye present yourselves as slaves for obedience, his slaves ye are whom ye obey, whether of sin unto death, or obedience unto righteousness?

Or, are ye ignorant, brethren, (for I am speaking to those who know law), that the law has dominion over the man as long as he lives?

Wherefore, my brethren, ye also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that ye might be joined to another??o Him Who was raised from the dead??hat we might bear fruit to God.

Wretched man that I am! who will deliver me out of the body of this death?

Consequently, there is now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus.

that the requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

For those who are according to the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

And, if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will make alive your mortal bodies through His Spirit dwelling in you.

For the creation was made subject to vanity, not of choice, but by reason of Him Who subjected it, in hope

and, not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruit of the Spirit, even we ourselves are groaning within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

For by hope we were saved; but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for that which he sees?

And He Who searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

And we know that all things are working together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose;

because whom He foreknew He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first born among many brethren.

And whom He predestined, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

What, then, shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?

He Who spared not His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

Who will bring an accusation against God's elect? It is God Who justifieth;

who is he that condemns? It is Christ Who died, yea, rather, That was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God, Who also is making intercession for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or perils or sword?

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him Who loved us.

who, indeed, are Israelites, whose is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service, and the promises;

whose are the fathers; and of whom, according to flesh, is the Christ, Who is over all, God blessed forever. Amen.

But it is not as though the word of God has failed: for they are not all Israel, who are of Israel;

(for, the children being not yet born, nor having done anything good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of Him Who calleth),

So, then, it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God Who hath mercy.

So, then, He hath mercy on whom He willeth, and whom He willeth He hardeneth.

You will say to me, then, "Why doth He still find fault? for who has withstood His will?"

Nay but, O man, who are you that reply against God ? Shall the thing formed say to Him Who formed it, "Why didst Thou make me thus?"

whom He also called, not from Jews only, but also from gentiles?

As He saith in Hosea, "I will call that My people, which was not My people; and her, 'Beloved,' who was not beloved.

What, then, shall we say? that gentiles who were not following after righteous obtained righteousness, but a righteousness which is of faith;

for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one who believes.

For Moses writes that the man who did the righteousness of the law shall live thereby;

but the righteousness which is of faith speaks thus: "Say not in your heart, who shall ascend up into Heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down);

or, who shall descend into the abyss? (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead)."

For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the Same One is Lord of all, being rich toward all who call upon Him;

How, then, shall they call on Him in Whom they believed not? and how shall they believe on Him of Whom they heard not? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

and how shall they preach, unless they are sent forth? As it has been written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring glad tidings of good things!"

But they did not all obey the glad tidings. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who believed our report?"

But Isaiah is very bold, and says, "I was found by those who sought Me not; I became manifest to those who sought not after Me."

God did not cast off His people whom He foreknew. Or know ye not what the Scripture says of Elijah? how he pleads with God against Israel:

But what says the answer of God to him? "I left for Myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to Baal."

Behold, then, God's kindness and severity; toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, God's kindness, if you continue in His kindness; otherwise, you also shall be cut off.

For who knew the mind of the Lord? Or who became His counsellor?

Or who first gave to Him, and it shall be given back to him again?

Bless those who persecute you; bless, and curse not.

Be ready to rejoice with those who rejoice; to weep with those who weep;

So that he who resists the authority withstands the ordinance of God; and those having resisted shall receive to themselves condemnation;

Render to all their dues; tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honor to whom honor.

Who are you that judge another's servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. But he shall be made to stand; for the Lord is able to make him stand.

I know, and have been persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself: except that to him who accounts anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean.

For, if because of your food your brother is aggrieved, you are no longer walking in accordance with love. Destroy not with your food him for whom Christ died.

Do not, for the sake of food, overthrow the work of God. All things, indeed, are clean; but it is evil to him who eats with offense.

And he who doubts is condemned, if he eat, because he eats not of faith; and all that is not of faith is sin.

for even Christ pleased not Himself; but, as it has been written, "The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on Me."

And again Isaiah says, "There shall be the Root of Jesse, and He Who riseth up to rule over the gentiles, on Him will the gentiles hope."

but, as it has been written, "Those shall see, to whom nothing was announced concerning Him; and those who have not heard shall understand."

For Macedonia and Achaia were well pleased to make a certain contribution to the poor of the saints who are in Jerusalem.

I commend to you Phoebe our sister, who is a servant of the assembly which is in Cenchrea;

who, for my soul, laid down their own necks; to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the assemblies of the gentiles;

and salute the assembly that is in her house. Salute Epaenetus my beloved, who is the first-fruit of Asia unto Christ.

Salute Mary, who bestowed much labor on you.

Salute Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen, and my fellow-prisoners, who, indeed, are of note among the apostles, who have been in Christ longer than I.

Salute Apelles, the approved in Christ. Salute those who are of the household of Aristobulus.

Salute Herodion my kinsman. Salute those of the household of Narcissus who are in the Lord.

Salute Triphaena and Triphosa, who labor in the Lord. Salute Persis the beloved, who labored much in the Lord.

Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brethren who are with them.

Salute Philologus and Julia, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints who are with them.

Now I beseech you, brethren, to mark those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the teaching which ye learned; and turn away from them.

For those who are such are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own belly; and, through their kind words and flattering speeches, they beguile the hearts of the simple.

I, Tertius, who write the epistle, salute you in the Lord.

Now to Him Who is able to establish you, according to my Gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery kept in silence during eternal ages,

to the assembly of God which is at Corinth, sanctified in Christ Jesus, and called saints, with all, in every place, who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ??heir Lord and ours:

Who will also confirm you unto the end, unaccusable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
