Whatever we ask we receive from Him because we obey His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.


Blessed are those whose way is blameless. They walk in the law of Jehovah.

Whoever disobeys even the least of the commandments and teaches others to do the same, will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. On the other hand whoever obeys and teaches others to obey the Law will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.


Those who are of the works of the Law are under a curse. For it is written, Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the Law, by obeying them.

Whoever obeys the whole law and yet stumbles in one point is guilty of breaking all of it.

Cursed is he who does not abide by all things written in the book of the law by obeying them.' And all the people will say: 'Amen.'


They may sin against you, for everyone sins. You may become angry with them and hand them over to an enemy far or near who takes them to another country as captives.









What then is the law? It was added (to cause awareness of sin) because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.

If the word spoken through angels was steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward (penalty).


To those without Law I became like those without Law that I might gain them. I am not without law to God, but under the law to (toward) (of) Christ.

For you brothers, were called for freedom; only do not use your freedom for an occasion to the flesh. Serve one another through love! For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.







We have been discharged (released) from the law. We have died to that by which we were held. So we serve in newness of the Spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.



Rehoboam established his kingdom and made himself strong. He and all Israel abandoned Jehovah's teachings.

Jehovah said: They have forsaken the Law I set before them. They have not obeyed my voice nor walked according to it.



Jesus told him: You shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart (Greek: kardia: feelings, emotions), and with all your being, and with your entire mind (Greek: dianoia: understanding). The law and the prophets are based on these two commandments.


This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days,' said Jehovah: 'I will put my teachings (laws) in their mind, I will write them upon their hearts (deep thought) (understanding). I will be their God, and they will be my people. (Jeremiah 31:32)

This is the covenant (agreement) that I will make with Israel after those days, declares Jehovah. I will put my teachings (Law) inside them. I will write those teachings (Law) on their hearts (inner man) (mind) (will) (conscience) (understanding). I will be their God, and they will be my people.



I hate those who are double-minded, but I love your law.


Hear, O earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people as the fruit of their plans. This is because they have not listened to my words, and have rejected my law.

These people are rebellious and deceitful children. They refuse to listen to Jehovah's Law.


He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel. This he commanded our fathers that they should teach them to their children,

I am Jehovah your God, who brought you out of slavery in Egypt. Do not have any other god. Do not make your own carved idols or statues that represent any creature in the sky, on the earth, or in the water. read more.
Do not worship them or serve them. I, Jehovah your God, am a God demanding exclusive devotion. (I do not tolerate rivals.) I will not share your affection with any other god. I punish children for their parents' sins to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me. I show mercy (loving kindness) to thousands of generations of those who love me and obey my commandments. Never use the name of Jehovah your God in a false and evil way. Jehovah will make sure that anyone who is false, evil, careless and vain with his name will be punished. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. You have six days to do all your work. The seventh day is a Sabbath dedicated to Jehovah your God. Do not do any work, you or your son or your daughter, your male or your female servant or your cattle or your sojourner who stays with you. Jehovah made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them in six days. He rested on the seventh day. Therefore Jehovah blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged in the land Jehovah your God gives you. Do not murder. Do not commit adultery. Do not steal. Do not (lie) accuse anyone falsely. Do not covet (desire) another man's house. Do not desire his wife, his slaves, his cattle, his donkeys, or anything else that he owns.



Let your compassion come to me that I may live, for your law is my delight.









Did Moses give you the law? Yet none of you obey the law! Why do you seek to kill me?





We know that whatever the law says, it speaks to those under the law. Every mouth may be stopped and the entire world may become liable to God for punishment.

Are we Jews in any better condition than the people of the nations? Not at all! I have already shown that Jews and the people of the nations are all under the power of sin.







Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Respect God, and obey his commandments for this is the whole duty of man.


The dragon was furious with the woman and waged war with the remnant of her seed. These are the ones who obey the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.


But they were hard-hearted, and went against your authority. They turned their backs on your law, and murdered your prophets. These prophets gave witness against them with the purpose of turning them back again to you. They did much to make you angry. So you gave them up into the hands of their enemies who were cruel to them. In the time of their trouble, when they prayed to you, you listened to them from heaven. In your great mercy you gave them saviors, who made them free from the hands of their enemies.


Jehovah God commanded the man: You are free to eat from any tree in the garden. But you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. When you eat of it you will surely die.


They were united with their brothers, their rulers, and put themselves under a curse and an oath, to keep their steps in the way of God's law, which was given by Moses, the servant of God, and to keep and do all the orders of the Jehovah, our Lord, and his decisions and his rules.




The Law was our schoolmaster (Greek: paedagogue: a combination of schoolmaster, instructor, servant and guardian in charge of us) to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.




My eyes shed streams of water, because they do not keep your law.






I have seen a limit to all perfection. Your commandment is exceedingly broad.




Open my eyes that I may observe wonderful things from your law.






Jehovah is a God who is eager to save. He exalted his laws and teachings, and he wanted his people to honor them.








They did not keep the covenant of God. They refused to walk in his law.


You will go up in flames like straw and hay! You have rejected the law of the holy God Jehovah the All-Powerful Holy One of Israel. Now your roots will rot, and your blossoms will turn to dust.


This festival will be like a mark on your hand. It will be a reminder on your forehead that the teachings of Jehovah are always to be a part of your conversation! Jehovah used his mighty hand to bring you out of Egypt.


You should remember the Law of Moses my servant. I commanded the statutes and ordinances (regulations and judgments) to him at Horeb for all Israel.




For all who have sinned without law will perish without law. All who have sinned under law will be judged under law.


They show the work of the law written in their hearts. Their conscience also bears witness, and their thoughts accuse or excuse them.


Do we nullify the law through faith? No we do not! In fact, we establish (continue) (stand by) (uphold) the law.


The law produces wrath (violent passion) (indignation). But where there is no law there is no sin.










My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you! You will not be a priest to me since you have forgotten the Law of your God. Therefore, I will forget your children.


Ezra devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of Jehovah. He taught its decrees and laws in Israel.


Jehovah continued: I will not withdraw punishment for the many transgressions of Judah. For they have rejected the Law of Jehovah! They have not kept his statutes. Their lies have led them astray, those after which their fathers walked.
