All good giving, and every perfect gift, comes down from above, from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change or shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruit of his creatures.

Pure religion and undefiled with the God and Father is this, to visit the orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep one's self unspotted from the world.

With it bless we the Lord and Father, and with it curse we men made in the likeness of God.

No one that denies the Son has the Father; he that confesses the Son has the Father also.

If you know that he is righteous, you know that every one who does righteousness has been born of him.

Beloved, now are we children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be. We know, that if he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

No one that has been born of God commits sin, for his seed continues in him, and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and every one that loves has been born of God and knows God.

Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and every one who loves the Father loves also the Son who is born to him.

for every child that has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory which overcomes the world, our faith.

He that conquers shall inherit these things, and I will be to him a God and he shall be to me a son. But the fearful and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and fornicators and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur, which is the second death.
