Then Pilate said to him, You say nothing to me? is it not clear to you that I have power to let you go free and power to put you to death on the cross?
upon this, Pilate propos'd to release him: but the Jews cried out, if you let this man go, you are not Cesar's friend: he that sets up for king, opposes Cesar.
So they said to one another, “Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it, to see who gets it.” They did this to fulfill
after this, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but for fear of the Jews a conceal'd one, pray'd Pilate to let him take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave: so he went and took the body of Jesus.
And when he had said this, he let them see his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
And when he had said this, breathing on them, he said to them, Let the Holy Spirit come on you:
If you get forgiveness for people's sins, they are forgiven them; if you let people's sins fasten upon them, they will remain fastened upon them."
After these things Jesus let himself be seen again by the disciples at the sea of Tiberias; and it came about in this way.
And he said to them, Let down the net on the right side of the boat and you will get some. So they put it in the water and now they were not able to get it up again because of the great number of fish.
come, said Jesus, let us dine. but none of the disciples offer'd to ask him, who he was; for they saw well enough that it was the Lord.
Now this was the third time that Jesus let himself be seen by the disciples after he had come back from the dead.
“For it is written in the Book of Psalms:
let no one live in it;
Let someone else take his position.
But Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and proclaimed to them: “Men of Judah and all you residents of Jerusalem, let me explain this
For you will not let my soul be in hell and you will not give up your Holy One to destruction.
men and brethren, let me with assurance tell you of the patriarch David, who died and was buried here, his sepulchre being with us to this day:
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah!”
And Peter said, Let your hearts be changed, every one of you, and have baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will have the Holy Spirit given to you.
The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
So then, let your hearts be changed and be turned to God, so that your sins may be completely taken away, and times of blessing may come from the Lord;
let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene—whom you crucified and whom God raised from the dead—by Him this man is standing here before you healthy.
However, so this does not spread any further among the people, let’s threaten them against speaking to anyone in this name again.”
So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.
But in the night the angel of the Lord threw open the jail doors and let them out, and said to them,
And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
But God was turned from them and let them give worship to the stars of heaven, as it says in the book of the prophets, Did you make offerings to me of sheep and oxen for forty years in the waste land, O house of Israel?
And he kneeled down and cried with a loud voice: Lord, let not this sin stand against them. And when he had said this, he fell asleep. And Saul was well pleased with his death.
saying, "Let me share this power too, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the holy Spirit."
But Peter said unto him, Let thy money perish with thee, since thou thoughtest to purchase the gift of God with money.
Let your heart be changed, and make prayer to God that you may have forgiveness for your evil thoughts.
And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water, and the chamberlain said, "See: here is water, what shall let me to be baptised?"
For, I, will let him understand how many things he must needs, for my name, suffer.
So Ananias went off and entered the house, laying his hands on him with these words, "Saul, my brother, I have been sent by the Lord, by Jesus who appeared to you on the road, to let you regain your sight and be filled with the holy Spirit."

But Paul said to them, “They beat us in public without a trial, although we are Roman citizens, and threw us in jail. And now are they going to smuggle us out secretly? Certainly not! On the contrary, let them come themselves and escort us out!”
And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go.
Now on hearing about the coming back from death, some of them made sport of it, but others said, Let us go more fully into this another time.
When the Jews resisted [Paul's efforts] and spoke against him and his message, he shook out his clothing [i.e., an expression of rejection and contempt] and said to them "Let your blood be on your own heads [i.e., you are responsible for whatever harm comes from your action]; I am not responsible. And went from them, saying, I will come back to you if God lets me; and he took ship from Ephesus.
Though Paul wanted to go in before the people, the disciples did not let him.
If then, Demetrius, and the craftsmen with him, have against anyone an accusation, courts, are being held, and there are, proconsuls: let them accuse one another!
But if any other business is in question, let it be taken up in the regular meeting.
And when he had thus spoken, he let the congregation depart.
And as he might not be moved we did no more, saying, Let the purpose of God be done.
"Do you know Greek?" said the tribune; "Are you not, then, the Egyptian who in days gone by stirred up to sedition, and let into the wilderness the four thousand cutthroats?"
Paul said, “I am a Jewish man from Tarsus of Cilicia,
And when he let him do so, Paul, from the steps, made a sign with his hand to the people, and when they were all quiet, he said to them in the Hebrew language,
Came to my side and said, Brother Saul, let your eyes be open. And in that very hour I was able to see him.
the chief captain commanded him to be brought into the castle, saying, 'By scourges let him be examined;' that he might know for what cause they were crying so against him.

And there arose a great cry: and the scribes that were of the Pharisees' part arose, and strove, saying, We find no evil in this man: but if a spirit or an angel hath spoken to him, let us not fight against God.
Don’t let them persuade you, because there are more than 40 of them arranging to ambush him, men who have bound themselves under a curse not to eat or drink until they kill him. Now they are ready, waiting for a commitment from you.”
So the chief captain then let the young man depart, and charged him, See thou tell no man that thou hast shewed these things to me.
let them take care to see Paul mounted, and convoy him safe to governour Felix.
And on the next day they let the horsemen go on with him, [and] they returned to the barracks.
Or, let, these themselves, say what wrong they found, when I stood before the High-council, -
And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.

But we think it fitting to let you tell us what your views are, for as to this sect it is known by all of us that it is everywhere denounced."
And disagreeing with one another, they were let go, Paul saying one word: Well did the Holy Spirit speak through Isaiah the prophet to our fathers,
For this nation's mind has grown dull, And they hear faintly with their ears, And they have shut their eyes, So as never to see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their minds, and turn back, And let me cure them!" '
Therefore, let it be known to you that this saving work of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen!”
He announced the coming of the Kingdom of God, and taught concerning the Lord Jesus Christ without let or hindrance.
