Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

for you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

when anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path. But he who received the seed on rocky places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

in order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, read more.

And when Jesus saw that a crowd came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, "You dumb and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again." And the spirit cried out, convulsed him terribly, and came out. And the boy was like a corpse; so that many of them said, "He is dead." But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose. And when he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, "Why could we not cast it out?" And he said to them, "This kind can only come out by prayer."

And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. And behold, a great storm arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But he was asleep. The disciples went and woke him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!" read more.

So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

But are you willing to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is useless?

choosing rather to share ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin. He considered abuse suffered for the Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to his reward. and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.

Even Simon himself believed, and after being baptized he continued with Philip. And seeing signs and great miracles performed, he was amazed.

You have no part or share in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.
