As I swore in my wrath, 'They shall never enter my rest.'"

And to whom did he swear that they would never enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient?

Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest remains, let us fear lest any one of you be judged to have come short of it.

For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said, "As I swore in my wrath, 'They shall never enter my rest,'" although his works were finished from the foundation of the world.

And again in this place he said, "They shall never enter my rest."

For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later of another day.

So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God;

for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.

Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same example of disobedience.
