For they themselves report about us what kind of a reception we had with you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire and greed, which is idolatry.
Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious: immorality, impurity, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those which by nature are no gods.
The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands nor give up worshipping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk;

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts,
Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man.
No, but I say that the things pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be partners with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. Are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
What do I mean then? That a thing offered to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?
Now while Paul was waiting for them at Athens, his spirit was provoked within him as he saw that the city was full of idols.
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,
