We must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether it is good or bad. I am filled with comfort. I overflow with joy in our entire affliction. read more. When we came to Macedonia our flesh had no relief, but we were afflicted on every side, fighting on the outside and fears on the inside. Nevertheless he who comforts the lowly, even God, comforted us by the coming of Titus. This is not by his coming only, but also by the comfort he brought from you. He told us about your longing, your mourning, and your zeal for me so that I rejoiced yet more.
This is not by his coming only, but also by the comfort he brought from you. He told us about your longing, your mourning, and your zeal for me so that I rejoiced yet more. For though I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it (for I see that that letter made you sorry, though but for a season),
For though I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it (for I see that that letter made you sorry, though but for a season),

For though I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it. Though I did regret it (for I see that that letter made you sorry, though but for a season), I now rejoice, not because you were made sorry, but that you were made sorry to repentance; for you were made sorry after a godly fashion, that you might not suffer loss by us.
I now rejoice, not because you were made sorry, but that you were made sorry to repentance; for you were made sorry after a godly fashion, that you might not suffer loss by us. For godly sorrow works repentance leading to salvation. This is a repentance that brings no regret: but the sorrow of the world works death.

This very thing that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it made in you, what clearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, yes what vindication! You demonstrated yourself to innocent in the matter.

Although I wrote to you, I did not write for the sake of the one who did wrong, nor for the one who suffered the wrong, but that your earnest care for us might be made manifest to you in the sight of God.
Although I wrote to you, I did not write for the sake of the one who did wrong, nor for the one who suffered the wrong, but that your earnest care for us might be made manifest to you in the sight of God. Therefore we have been comforted in your comfort. We enjoyed our comfort the more exceedingly for the joy of Titus, because all of you have refreshed his mental disposition.
Therefore we have been comforted in your comfort. We enjoyed our comfort the more exceedingly for the joy of Titus, because all of you have refreshed his mental disposition. If in anything I have boasted about him to you, I was not put to shame; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, so our boasting also which I made before Titus was found to be truth.
If in anything I have boasted about him to you, I was not put to shame; but as we spoke all things to you in truth, so our boasting also which I made before Titus was found to be truth. They were very urgent in their concern for this grace and the fellowship in the ministering to the holy ones. This is not as we hoped. and not only so, but who was also appointed by the congregations to travel with us in the matter of this grace, which is ministered by us to the glory of the Lord, and to show our readiness.
I know you are ready and I boast about to the Macedonians. That Achaia has been prepared since last year. Your zeal stirred up many of them.

I hope you can put up with me in a little foolishness: but indeed you do put up with me.
Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I! Are they ministers of Christ? I speak as a fool. I am more in labors more abundant, beaten beyond number, in prisons more frequent, in deaths often. read more. Of the Jews five times I received forty stripes less one. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, I suffered shipwreck three times, a night and a day I have spent in the deep. In journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by my own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brothers; In weariness and painfulness, in watching often, in hunger and thirst, in fasting often, in cold and nakedness. I was given a painful physical ailment that will keep me from being puffed up with pride because of the many wonderful things I saw. It acts as Satan's messenger to beat me and keep me from being proud.

It acts as Satan's messenger to beat me and keep me from being proud. Three times I prayed to God about this and asked him to take it away. read more. He told me: My grace is sufficient for you for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you. I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you. The children should not provide for the parents, but the parents for the children.
Did I gain you by any of them whom I sent to you? I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus gain you? Did we not conduct ourselves in the same mental disposition? Did we not walk in the same steps?
I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus gain you? Did we not conduct ourselves in the same mental disposition? Did we not walk in the same steps? Do you think that we excuse ourselves to you? We speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for you're up building.
Do you think that we excuse ourselves to you? We speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for you're up building.
