The Jews answered him, We stone thee not for a good work, but for blasphemy, and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

The disciples say to him, Master, the Jews but now sought to stone thee, and goest thou thither again?

But I know even now, that whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

Peter turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee?

Follow thou me. Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him, That he should not die: but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is it to thee?
