saying, "Tell us, thou Christ, who is he that smote thee?"
And after a while, came unto him they that stood by, and said unto Peter, "Surely thou art even one of them, for thy speech betrayeth thee."
Then said Pilate unto him, "Hearest thou not how many things they lay against thee?"
And as he is sitting on the tribunal, his wife sent unto him, saying, 'Nothing -- to thee and to that righteous one, for many things did I suffer to-day in a dream because of him.'
and, plaiting a crown out of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand, - and, kneeling before him, began to mock him, saying - Joy to thee, King of the Jews!
As it is written in the prophets, "Behold, I send my messenger before thy face which shall prepare thy way before thee;"
And there came a voice out of the heavens: Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I have found my delight.
saying, "Let me be: what have we to do with thou, Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee, what thou art, thou art even that holy man promised of God."
And when they had found him, they said unto him, "All men seek for thee."
and said unto him, "See that thou say nothing to any man, but get thee hence and show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing those things which Moses commanded, for a testimonial unto them."
